PHAMExpo 2016 Haul

PHAMExpo 2016 was a success!

This is the look that I went with for PHAMExpo 2016 (the famous car selfie on the way there).

I even wore my Crimes of Beauty Makeup Junkie shirt.

In the line about to go in and do some serious damage.

My bestie talked me in to standing on the window ledge to take a selfie and get the #PHAMExpo sign in the background.

Taking a picture on the way in against this awesome background (didn't know I was about to go from having money to being broke in less than 3 hours).

They let us go in early a little after 9am which was extremely exciting (less time to cook in the hot sun while waiting impatiently in line).

We met some amazing ladies while waiting in line :)

We headed first towards Lime Crime (first booth that caught my eye and there was no line, yay!)

I picked up a couple of goodies and stop for another backdrop picture (pretty much one of the last pictures I took, too distracted by makeup.

If you have never been to a makeup convention/show it might be a little hard to understand, but honestly once you step inside you are swept up in this fast paced whirlwind and so many things are going on at once. You instantly turn on autopilot and go where the makeup leads you. It's so exciting and I wouldn't want it any other way. I feel like I am in my element.

We checked out some artistry and than it was back to focusing on our mission, to acquire more makeup quickly.

We stopped by ChicStudios to get some complementary glitter lips, uh yes please!

A close-up of my pink glitter lips.

The aftermath, leaving with $38 to your name (actually, the first time I have walked away from a makeup show with money to my name.

What the damage looked like when I got home.

Bitter Lace Beauty Highlighter Collection and Swatches

With all of the hype surrounding Bitter Lace Beauty Highlighters I figured I would put together swatches of my collection.

I was one of the lucky ones who had discovered Bitter Lace Beauty's Highlighters before they hit the big time.

I had being buying them in her Etsy store for a little while now ( I can't remember when, but I think it has been around a year or maybe less).

I own 5 in my collection and here they are in all of their splendor.

From left to right - Let It Glow, Sweater Weather, Love At First Sight, Unbirthday, and Pocket Full Of Posies.

My interpretations of the shades:

Let It Glow - Silver and Blue
Sweater Weather - Gold
Love At First Sight - Red, Pink, and Gold
Unbirthday - Gold, Lavender, Mint, and Coral
Pocket Full Of Posies - Olive Green, Teal, and Lavender

The great thing about these highlighters is one, they are amazing, and two, for some of them you can pick of the shades individually or swirl them together.

For these swatches I swirled them together to create the shades, just remember that if you do decide to swirl them together that there is no going back as these does mix the shades together. You can also just swipe your brush straight across the pan to pick up all of the shades individually.

Bitter Lace Beauty's Highlighters are definitely worth the hype.

They are currently all sold out, but hopefully some of the products will restock soon.

Some of the shades above were limited edition and therefore won't be available again, but who's to say that something similar is not recreated.

The Prism Rainbow Highlighter is the product that sky rocketed Bitter Lace Beauty's success and has caused her to sell out of all of her products (she also makes custom eyeshadow palettes).

The Prism Highlighter is sold out but you can preorder one for a release in months to come.

You can check out Bitter Lace Beauty via the links below:

City Color Cosmetics Haul and Swatches - Figtastic, Harvest Moon, and Timeless Beauty

City Color Cosmetics had a sale not that long ago and I figured it was as good of a time as any to stock up.

I picked up 5 palettes, well really 3 palettes and 2 quads.

First up is the Intense Blush Quad in Collection 4.

This one has the orange/peach shades.

I picked it up for $2.99, but it is normally $7.99.

Here are the swatches from left to right.

The other quad that I picked up is called the Timeless Beauty Bronzer/Highlighter Quad.

It contains 4 shimmery shades that can be used for highlighters and bronzers depending on your skin tone.

I picked it up for $4.99, but regular price is $9.99.

On to the palette, here is the Timeless Beauty Palette.

It is gorgeous and contains 4 blushes and 3 beautiful/huge highlighters.

I picked it up for $24.99, which is the regular price.

The blushes were swatched left to right on the top of my hand and highlighters left to right on my wrist.

Time for the palettes.

For these ones I jumped straight into the swatches.

This is the Figtastic Palette.

The first row was swatched on the top of my arm whereas the bottom row is the bottom part of my arm.

The Figtastic Palette was $11.99, regular price.

The last item in the haul is the Harvest Moon Palette.

These were swatched in the same manner as the Figtastic Palette.

The first row on top and the bottom row on the bottom.

I picked up this palette for $8.99, regular price is $13.99.

Overall  I am impressed with the items I picked up in the City Color Cosmetics haul.

I found overall that most items were very pigmented with the exception of some of the lighter shades in the Figtastic Palette.

City Color Cosmetics does have sales occasionally so be on the lookout for those.

You can purchase City Color Cosmetics via their website here http://citycolorcosmetics.com/.

You can also find their products at http://www.ikatehouse.com/.

I did some swatches in my Youtube video for the haul with the exception of the two palettes. You can check it out here https://youtu.be/f93ROK8yxCI

The swatches of the Figtastic Palette can be seen here https://youtu.be/hh4qQXiWsg8

The swatches of the Harvest Moon Palette can be seen here https://youtu.be/93ksqGgvCoA

Have you tried any of these products from City Color Cosmetics? Thoughts?

Have a Beautiful Day!

DIY - How to Fix a Dried Out Cream Gel Liner

Let's face it, we can do everything right when it comes to trying to keep our gel and cream eyeliners from drying out.

This basically includes screwing the lid on tightly and not leaving them open to long.

Even with doing that day end and day out they can still dry out before their expiration date.

There are tons of methods out there for reviving them and bringing them back to life.

I am going to share with you one way that I have found that works for me time and time again.

It will save you money on eyeliners and allow you to get the most value out of the eyeliners you have already spent your hard earned cash on.

Items you will need:

-The dried out cream/gel eyeliner

-e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer
(It can be purchased online here at http://www.elfcosmetics.com/p/mineral-face-primer or at target.com for $6.)

-A bobby pin or any other object that can be using for mixing

Are you ready for this simple DIY?

1. Open the eyeliner.

2. Take the e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer and press one pump of the product into the eyeliner.

3. Take your mixing tool and mix the primer into the eyeliner until it is smooth.

That's it!

I can honestly say that this is the best method that I have tried. I have done this on Maybelline, L'Oreal, and ColourPop liners and I am getting ready to do it on one of my MAC ones.

I have noticed that my liner glides on easily and has the same staying power as before.

All of the ones that I have done are still going strong a year later.

I have yet to see one dry out again!

Try it for yourself and let me know how it works for you!

If you plan on purchasing any of the e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 6.5% cash back for e.l.f. for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

Who doesn't love to earn free money that can then be used for buying more makeup?

It's genius really.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette - Makeup of the Day

A couple of weeks ago I used my Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette to create a look.

How could you not, right?

I don't know who I'm kidding.

I couldn't wait to dive into this palette.

It's so beautiful and has become my favorite Too Faced Palette, hands down.

Here's the look that I came up with.

Here's how I created the look:

All over the eye to help blend out the shadows - Peaches N' Cream

Crease - Georgia and Candied Peach

1st half of the lid up to the crease - Luscious

2nd half of the lid up to the crease - Just Peachy

Inner corner and Brow Bone - Nectar

Then I popped on some liner, mascara, and lashes (I didn't even realize that one lash had way more glitter than the other one until I was doing taking pictures, C'est La Vie)

Lips are ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lip in Echo Park.

Have you picked up the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette and if so, do you love it?

This palette has quickly become one of my favorite palettes hands down.

From the packaging, to the scent, to the actual shade range, to the pigmentation, this palette is a must have and is perfect for Summer (I am going to use it year round!)

It is limited edition, but check Ulta, Sephora, and HSN for possible restocks.

What am I saying?

Stalk these sites!!!

Have you gotten your hands on the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette yet? What are your thoughts?
