Walgreens and CVS Haul - Nivea Post Shave Balm, Airspun, Rimmel, L'Oreal, Milani, and Revo

I just got back from a short vacation to celebrate my birthday in Vegas.

Do you know what I did while I was there?

I am sure you can imagine, but I went makeup shopping.

I made a couple trips each to Walgreens and CVS (I also made a trip to Sephora, but that will be in a separate post).

I picked up some new items that had been looking for as well as raved about items on social media.

-Nivea Men Original Replenishing Post Shave Balm - $7.29

It is $6.79 online.

I just found out that Ulta just started carrying this online too for $6.49.

-Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent Extra Coverage - $7.99

It is $6.49 online.

-Milani Everyday Eyes in 05 Earthy Elements - $9.99

Earthy Elements is sold out online at Walgreens, but is available online on Milani's website.

-Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette - Coral Glow - $6.99

Available online at for $6.49.

-L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24 Hr. Foundation in 103 Natural Buff - $13.79

It is $12.99 online.

-Revo Beauty 360 Honey Lip Balm

-Milani Conceal & Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation & Concealer in 01 Creamy Vanilla - $9.99

This one is for fair skin with cool undertones.

I have been using a lot of these items lately and here are my first impressions.

Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm
-I picked this one up due to social media popularity.
-It can be used as a face primer as opposed to high end primers.
-The one that everyone uses is the Sensitive Skin one, but I accidentally picked up the Original.
-It contains ingredients that cause your foundation to stick to it.
-So far I like how it works, make sure that you use it sparingly and that you massage it into your skin.
-Apply your foundation evenly so it doesn't appear patchy.
-On me the scent seems to linger for at least 4 hours, but others haven't noticed.

Airspun Loose Face Powder
-Another item that I picked up due to social media popularity.
-The one I picked up is the Translucent Extra Coverage.
-Is comparable to high end setting powders.
-Can be used as an under eye setting powder or all over the face setting powder.
-Has a perfume scent that reminds me of my grandmother, so it brings out fond memories, but isn't noticeable once applied.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation
-Demi-matte finish
-Up to 24 HR wear
-Medium coverage
-Works great for my oily skin

Milani Conceal & Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer
-Foundation and concealer in one
-Medium to full coverage foundation
-Water Resistant
-Has a convenient pump
-I picked up Creamy Vanilla which I feel may be a little dark for me.
-After looking at reviews it seems that the line doesn't have a shade light enough for fair skin.
-I have only used this one once so I am still trying it out, but I may have to get another shade and mix them together so it is more suitable to my skin tone.

Milani Everyday Eyes Earthy Elements Palette
-Shimmer and matte shades
-Reminds me of shades in the Kat Von D Monarch Palette.
-First eye contouring and highlighting palette.
-Comes with a mini dual ended eyeshadow and blending brush.

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette
-3-in-1 highlighter, blush, and bronzer palette
-Coral Glow is great for fair/light skin tones
-Lightly pigmented for a natural look
-Has a nice instructional picture on the back showing where to place each product.

Revo Lip Balm
-Cute bee hive packaging
-I picked up the honey scent, but I swear it smells like peppermint.

If you plan on purchasing any of the items online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 7% cash back for Walgreens, 6% cash back for Ulta, 3% cash back for Kmart,  for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

Who doesn't love to earn free money that can then be used for buying more makeup?

It's genius really.
