e.l.f. Aqua Beauty Collection - First Impressions and Swatches

Happy Easter!

e.l.f. Cosmetics recently released a new collection called Aqua Beauty.

The collection can be found here:

The Aqua Beauty Collection contains 4 different types of items (I picked up all of them except for the Primer Mist).

Please note that some of the items are currently sold out, but be on the lookout for a restock soon.

The Aqua Beauty Collection contains products that are infused with purified water. The products give a radiant, dewy finish and glow.

Look at the shimmery, metallic, amazingness!

The Molten Liquid Eyeshadows can be worn alone on your eyes or used as an eyeshadow base with an eyeshadow placed on top of them. This will allow your eyeshadows to pop and last longer.

I have only worn one of them for a couple of hours, which was Rose Gold and didn't have any creasing.

I plan on wearing them longer to really put them to the test.

e.l.f Aqua Beauty Blush & Bronzer - $6

-Bronzed Peach
-Bronzed Pink Beige
-Bronzed Violet

I have to admit that when I opened each Blush & Bronzer Duo I was intimidated.

I thought that they looked very dark in the pans and that they wouldn't work on my far skin tone.

I haven't yet worn them on my face, but from swatching them and blending them out they don't look so dark.

They have an unusual consistency that almost feels slightly wet. They appear to be a mix between a sponge consistency and a powder.

I would recommend applying them with a light hand and building them up if necessary.

Upon first glance at them they look as though they might all be matte, but upon closer inspection some of the blushes look like they might have a slight shimmer.

Based upon the swatches on my arm the shimmer doesn't seem to show. I think if it shows on the face that it will be subtle, definitely once blended out.

e.l.f. Aqua Beauty Radiant Gel Lip Stain - $4

Pictured left to right:

-Rouge Radiance - red
-Red Orange Wash - reddish orange
-Dewy Berry - berry pink

Upon swatching these I found that Rouge Radiance looks more orange than red and that Red Orange Wash looks more red than orange.

I made sure that I swatched the correct ones. The only thing that I can think of is that they were packaged incorrectly.

I would be curious to find out if anyone else noticed the same thing.

I found Red Orange Wash (middle) to be the least pigmented of the three.

Does anyone else think these look like blood or have I been binge watching way too much True Blood?

If you can get over how they look in the tube, these definitely have some major staying power.

I swatched them last night for my Youtube video (link below) and I still have the stains on my hand the next day. That is after washing my hands multiple times and showering.

If you want some hardcore lip stains then it looks like you may have to look no further.

I have yet to try them on the lips, but if they did this to my hand I can only imagine.
