Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly - Makeup of the Day

Once I received my Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette I could not wait to create a look with it.

I mean look at it. How could you not?

Here are swatches again from my previous blog post.

Left to right - Spread The Love, Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter Cup, Bananas, Peanut Brittle, Jammin', Extra Creamy, Jelly, Nuts About U.

I used the palette today to create this look below:

Before I applied the shadows I primed my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion and then applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo Crayon in Barely Beige to my lid.

1. I applied Extra Creamy (matte creamy beige) all over my lid to my brow bone as a base for all of the other eyeshadows.

2. I then blended Spread the Love (medium peach with gold sparkle) into my crease.

3. Next I blended Peanut Butter (matte medium orange brown)in my crease.

4. I patted Peanut Brittle (metallic burnt orange) on my lid.

5. I blended Peanut Butter Cup (metallic golden bronze with gold sparkle) in the outer corner of my eye.

6. I lined under my eye with Jelly (vibrant orchid)

7. I popped Bananas (soft peach gold with fine gold shimmer) in my inner corner and under my eye in the inner third.

8. Lastly, I patted Extra Creamy on my brow bone.

The palette contains both matte and shimmer shades, but there are more shimmer shades with there only being 4 matte shades.

Oh, and the shadows smell like peanut butter!

The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette is available online now at ulta.com.

Walgreens Haul - Wet n Wild, Lip Smacker, and KISS with Mini Revew and Swatches

Hey there dolls!

I am back with another Walgreens Haul.

I picked up a couple Wet n Wild items as well as some more KISS lashes, and a Lip Smacker Disney Trio.

-Wet n Wild Megaglo Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee - $3.99

Swatched left to right - highlight and contour

Swatches with flash

This contour palette is very pigmented and the shades are smooth.

I am still experimenting with this palette to see if the shade of the contour works for me. I feel like it is a little too orange.

-Wet n Wild Coming in Latte Palette - $6.99

Swatched left to right - Beige matte, champagne shimmer, antique gold shimmer, gold shimmer, bronze shimmer, taupe matte, taupe shimmer, brown matte with gold sparkle, brown matte, and black matte (my interpretation of the shades).

A closer look of the swatches above and below shown with flash.

All of the eyeshadows in this palette are very pigmented and also apply smooth. I am actually quite surprised at how great the pigmentation is.

The only downside of this palette is that it is hard to find.

The other two items I picked up:

-Disney Lip Smacker Princess Easter Treats Trio - $4.50

These remind me of my childhood when I used to collect Lip Smackers.

You can never have too many lip balms and come on, they are Disney Princesses.

-KISS True Volume Lashes in Chic - $3.99

I had to pick up a second pair of KISS True Volume Chic Lashes as I just got rid of my first pair after wearing them about 6 times.

I haven't been able to find the Wet n Wild Coming in Latte Palette or the Lip Smacker Princess Easter Treats Trio anywhere online, but you should be able to find them at a Walgreens near you.

I have used all of the products and so far I am most of them. I am still trying to decide if the Contour shade from the Wet n Wild Megaglo is for me.

Have you tried any of these items? Thoughts?

If you plan on purchasing any of these items online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

NYX Ombre Blush Swatches - Youtube Video

In this video I talk about and swatch two of the new NYX Ombre Blushes in Soft Focus and Code Breaker.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Swatches

Urban Decay has a collaboration with Gwen Stefani, just in case you hadn't heard.

There is an eyeshadow palette, lipsticks, a brow palette, lip liner, and a blush palette.

Today we are looking at the blush palette and here she is.

She comes with 6 blushes, though 2 of them can be used differently.

The blushes are Cherry, Easy, Angel, Lo-Fi, Hush, and Oc.

Angel can be used as a highlighter and Lo-Fi can be used as a bronzer.

Swatched left to right and top to bottom in natural lighting - Lo-Fi, Cherry, Hush, Easy, Oc, and Angel.

Closeup of these babies.

These babies with flash.

This palette contains is a mix of shimmer and matte shades.

They are all pigmented and oh so pretty.

It is available online at urbandecay.com, Sephora, Ulta, and Macy's for $45.

Sedona Lace Mermaid Palette Review, Swatches, and Makeup of the Day

I remember seeing The Little Mermaid in theaters when I was younger and thinking how amazing it would be to be a mermaid.

Well, eventually we have to grow up and we really can't do anything about the fact that we can't be mermaids, but we can strive to look like them.

At least when can while playing with the Sedona Lace Mermaids Palette.

How gorgeous is this box?

It's so gorgeous that I had to post it twice, ok not really.

The box and the outside of the palette look exactly the same.

The inside of the palette holds even more beauty with its 16 shades with mermaid names.

They range from peach, pink, purples, greens, to blues, and you even get a black and white.

Nixie (peach) and Meryl (white) seem to be the only shimmers in the palette. The other 14 shades are matte.

These are very pigmented, but I will let the swatches speak for themselves.

I swatched these in lighting on my bare arm without primer. I did clean my arm first with a baby wipe so they were applied slightly wet, which I don't recommend. These don't seem to be able to be used wet.

My shadows seemed to have dried a little clumpy where I dipped my fingers into them, but it isn't a problem as it is only on the very top of each shade.

Here are the 1st two rows from left to right - Nyxie, Sybil, Beatrice, Azalea, Pearl, Mishell, Melody, and Lola.

Another picture of the swatches for the road.

Here is the 3rd and 4th row from left to right - Madison, Diana, Ariel, Zale, Meryl, Sedna, Andrina, and Oona.

Same swatches closeup

Same swatches with flash

Of course, another set of swatches so that you can remember them.

I used the palette to create this look.

It is simple and was done using 5 shades.

I actually used the whole 1st row for this look and one extra shade.

I used Nyxie (peach shimmer) as a transition shade all over my lid to my brow bone as well as packed it on my lid.

I applied Meryl (white shimmer) on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye.

I used a combination of Sybil (coral matte) and Beatrice (pink matte) blended in my crease and under the middle portion of my eye.

I blended Azalea (red matte) in the outer third of my crease and lid as well as under my eye, also in the outer third.

The verdict.

So far so good.

The shades are quite pigmented for mattes and blended nicely.

I found that they can actually blend away quite easily and found myself adding color and blending a lot.

From wearing them in this look they seemed to last.

The palette has beautiful packaging and a spectrum of colors to choose from.

The Mermaids Palette is available here,  http://www.sedonalace.com/Cosmetics/431/Mermaids-Eyeshadow-Palette.aspx and is only $29.95.

The palette also comes with a new dual sided brush called the EB 31 brush.

Have you seen this palette? What are your thoughts?

Violet Voss Highlighting Powders Swatches

Have you heard of the Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powders?

It is a Highlighter Palette that hasn't yet been released online, but there were some available at IMATS LA this past January.

I picked it up while I was there, but can't recall how much I paid for it.

It comes with three highlighters.

The names of the shades are Moon Gleam, Star Glow, and Unicorn Luster.

Here  they are swatched from left to right - Moon Gleam, Star Glow, and Unicorn Luster.

Moon Gleam is a champagne shimmer.

Star Glow is a goldish shimmer.

Unicorn Luster is a bronze shimmer.

All three of the Highlighting Powders are buttery smooth and very pigmented.

They reflect light nicely.

Is the Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Powders on your wish list?

Look for it to be released soon at https://shopvioletvoss.com/
