ColourPop Puppy Love Swatch

Happy Holidays!

I haven't posted in two weeks due to the holidays. I have been so busy with holiday festivities as I am sure you too can relate.

That means that I have tons of blog posts that are just waiting to be posted.

One of them is this one for the ColourPop Puppy Love Super Shock Eyeshadow.

I posted about this shadow some posts back when it was released.

All of the proceeds from this shadow go to Best Friends Animal Society and their cause to end the killing of all cats and dogs in shelters.

It's a great cause and for only $5 who can say no?

Let's look at the shadow itself.

It is a beautiful soft peach with a pink and gold duochrome in a pearlized finish.

It is very pretty.

It was hard for me to capture its gorgeousness in photos.

I tried. You will have to see it in person to fully appreciate its beauty.

One more picture with flash, which really just washed out the color.

This is a gorgeous shade that will make a great addition to any ColourPop Collection.

Here is the link to purchase yours, https://colourpop.com/product/puppy-love/

I plan on using mine in a look tomorrow.

Did you pick up ColourPop's Puppy Love?

Too Faced Vegas Nay Stardust Palette Review and Swatches

When I first heard that Too Faced and Vegas Nay were teaming up to make a palette, I thought, yes please!

Vegas Nay is a beauty guru who is very popular on social media with her display of gorgeous eye looks.

I bought it when it was first released.

I mean how could you not?

It is a gorgeous palette that comes with 12 matte and shimmer shades.

This palette can be used for a simple day look just by using the top row alone.

It can also be used for a night look as well as an everyday look with a pop of color.

This palette has some amazing shimmer and glitter shades that Too Faced is known for, hence one of my favorite makeup brands.

Here are the shade names and descriptions:

Chandelier - cream matte

Millennial - warm medium brown matte

Girl's Night - deep warm brown matte

#selfie - cream white with silver shimmer

Showgirl - bronze pearl

Jackpot - brown with gold shimmer

Pink Pearl - cool light pink pearl

The Strip - silvered mauve

Follow Me - vibrant blue purple with blue sparkle

Double Tap - deep red brown with violet sparkle

Golden Nugget - gold foiled coppery shimmer

Sin City - matte black

Now time for the swatches.

All swatches were done with a couple of swipes on my bare arm in natural lighting.

From left to right - Chandelier, Millennial, Girl's Night, #selfie, Showgirl, Jackpot, Pink Pearl, The Strip, Follow Me, Double Tap, Golden Nugget, and Sin City.

As you can see from the swatches, the shadows are very pigmented and pretty.

The shadows are soft and swatched quite easily and effortlessly.

Swatches with flash.

Look at the 5th shade Showgirl, amazing!

All of the names of the shadows come from social media terms or Las Vegas references, which makes the palette even more appealing.

Overall, I love the palette and I think the shades are beautiful.

I didn't have any problem swatching any of the shades.

The mattes in this palette are great.

I do feel though that some of the more shimmery shades like The Strip and Golden Nugget are best applied with a synthetic brush or even the fingers to get the most out of the shadows.

This palette has been out for a couple of months now so I wanted to make sure that I finally post the swatches and review.

It is a limited edition palette.

It is currently only available at ulta.com (I am not sure about Ulta stores).

Its price is $45.

If you plan on purchasing them online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently you will receive 3% cash back for Ulta) for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

Who doesn't love to earn free money that can then be used for buying more makeup?

It's genius really.

Alice in Wonderland Hot Topic Haul

The name of my blog, Tiffany in Makeup Land and the description of my blog, My Life In Makeupland were created based on my love of two of my favorite things.

Makeup and Alice in Wonderland.

I am obsessed with Alice in Wonderland.

Currently, Hot Topic has a pretty big collection of Alice in Wonderland items.

They also have a lot of sales.

I picked up four items recently, 3 of which are makeup related are pictured below (the fourth that isn't pictured is a blanket).

I picked up a train case to tote all of my daily makeup around.

A makeup mirror, because who can ever have enough mirrors?

Finally a small journal that I can use to jot down makeup ideas in.

The train case is regularly priced at $14.50, but on sale for $10.87.

The mirror and the journal are no longer available.

If you plan on purchasing them online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 4% cash back for Hot Topic, for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

ColourPop Puppy Love

ColourPop has released a new Super Shock shade that is for a good cause.

It is called Puppy Love.

Puppy Love is a pink and gold duo chrome that has a pearlized finish.

All proceeds from the purchase of Puppy Love will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society and their NKLA effort to save them.

Have you done something great today? If not you can. It will only cost you $5.

Ok maybe $5 plus shipping and tax, but it is for a great cause.

I have a soft spot for causes so purchasing this was a no brainer for me.

Get yours via the link below before it's gone.

The packaging also comes with a silver metallic paw on the lid.

Did you show puppies some love by getting your Puppy Love?

Too Faced Spring 2016 Collection

Winter hasn't even officially begun and Spring has already started popping up.

Or better yet, spring has sprung.

Too Faced has released their Spring 2016 Collection.

Currently the collection is available on toofaced.com with only the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette currently available at Sephora, but only for VIB members.

Speaking of the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette, it is the most exciting part of the collection for me.

It is the third Chocolate Bar Palette in the series.

It comes with 16 eyeshadows, 14 of which are shaped like adorable heart bon bons.

They are in matte and shimmer finishes and still have that amazing chocolate smell we can't escape.

The Chocolate Bon Bons Palette is $49.

Another piece in the collection is the Love Flush Blush Wardrobe.

It comes with smaller versions of the Love Flush Blushes, 6 of them to be exact.

They come in this adorable palette that retails for $36.

There is also a new Candlelight Glow Duo in the collection.

It is called warm glow and is $30.

There are also 6 new Melted shades.

These ones are called Melted Chocolate and smell like chocolate.

They are $21.00 each.

Here are the shades:

Chocolate Cherries

Chocolate Milkshake

Chocolate Honey

Metallic Chocolate Diamonds

Metallic Frozen Hot Chocolate

Metallic Candy Bar

There are a few more items in the collection that are not listed here (I decided to list the best ones in my opinion).

There is a Mr. Right Perfect Powder Brush ($36), 10 new shades of La Creme Lipstick included a unique bluish shade called Unicorn Tears ($22), as well as new packaging on the eyeshadow primer and glitter glue.

I am very impressed with Too Faced's Spring 2016 Collection and I'm not just saying that because Too Faced is hands down one of my favorite makeup brands.

There are a lot of items to get excited about.

If you plan on purchasing them online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 4% cash back for Too Faced, for any of you who are interested in signing up.

Sephora Haul - Becca Champagne Glow Palette, Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo, VIB Rouge

Around the same time that I placed the Ulta haul in my recent post I also placed a Sephora order.

This was around the end of October.

I placed both orders to reach the next level of benefits for each (VIB Rouge at Sephora through 2016 and Platinum at Ulta).

When you become VIB Rouge at Sephora for 2015 you receive a Marc Jacobs mini Lip Creme in So Rouge.

The main reason for the haul besides extending my VIB Rouge status was to pick up the limited edition Becca Cosmetics Champagne Glow Palette which contains Champagne Pop from Jaclyn Hill.

It has currently now sold out and I don't think that it is available any longer since Sephora has removed the product page. It was $34.

Champagne Pop is still available in full size as well as Blushed Copper. They are $38 each.

Pearl will be available soon as a full size and you can enter in your email on the product page to be notified of its release.

The Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo is also out of stock, but was $19.50 and contained mini sized liquid lipsticks in Lolita and Lolita II.

They are both available in fullsized products for $20 each though Lolita II is currently only available for VIB Rouge members. It will most likely be available for everyone soon.

I received the Bare Minerals First-Class Faves set free when entering a redemption code upon checking out.

It contains a mini mascara, mineral veil powder, and a lipstick.

I also received the Ole Henriksen Discover The Glow Deluxe Smaple Set for free.

Lastly, I picked up the Sephora Collection Gold Edged Brush Set since it was marked down from $52 to $25 and I couldn't resist the flower pattern on the brushes.

This is also out of stock.

If you plan on placing an order online at sephora.com, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 4% cash back for Sephora for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

What did you haul recently at Sephora?

Ulta Haul - NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette and Lip Balms

I finally decided to jump on the NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette bandwagon.

I had heard so many great reviews of it and how it was comparable to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit.

It is less expensive at a mere $24.99, Anastasia's is $40.

The NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette comes with 8 shades and Anastasia's only has 6.

It was one of the items in an Ulta haul that I had done a little while back.

I also picked up the new limited edition Burt's Bees lip balm in Mint Cocoa for $3.29.

It is still available online at ulta.com.

The last item, which sadly is no longer available is another lip balm by Sweet and Shimmer simply called Gift lip gloss. It is a pink shimmer, though honestly I just got it for the packaging.

If you plan on purchasing anything online at ulta.com, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

What have you hauled at Ulta lately?

e.l.f. Illuminating Palette Swatches and Review

Highlighters are so pretty that it is hard not to be drawn to them, even more so when they are available in a palette.

I guess e.l.f. had an Illuminating Palette before and now they have decided to bring it back.

It comes with 4 shades that don't have names.

They look like they are an off white, light pink, light beige, and a peach.

Here they are swatched from left to right, top to bottom - off white, light pink, light beige, and peach.

Same swatches, with a closer look

Same swatches, different angle

Same swatches with flash

My conclusion on the palette:

1. Affordable at $6.

2. Has pop out pans that can be replaced with shades from the e.l.f. blush, bronzer, and contour palettes to customize your own face palette.

3. Light shades for more of a wash of color or natural look.

4. Not that shimmery.

5. Good for travel.

For me, I like more shimmer in my highlights and I like them to really stand out for most days, but on days that I want a more natural look or when I am traveling I will throw this in my makeup bag.

If you plan on purchasing them online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 5.5% cash back for e.l.f. for any of you who are interested in signing up.

First time Ebates users will earn a $10 cash back bonus when they make purchases totaling at least $25 within 90 days of signing up.

What are your thoughts on the e.l.f. Illuminating Palette?

Each of the nine items are also available for purchase individually.

Ofra Kathleen Lights Havana Nights

Ofra and Kathleen Lights have done it again with another collaboration.

They have created another liquid lipstick called Havana Nights.

It looks like a deep burgundy and reminds me of the Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick in Dominatrix.

When checking out use the code Kathleen40 to receive 40% off of your order.

Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette Review and Swatches

I swatched the Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette some time ago, but never uploaded the swatches to my blog.

Before we get to the swatches let's take a moment to admire the beauty that is the Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette.

Maybe one more moment.

Ok now I'm focused.

All swatches were done on my bare arm in natural lighting (except the last shot of each set is done with flash) without any primer.

First Row, left to right - Porcelain, Custard, Tawny, Burlap, Melon, Tangerine, Saddle, and Forest

Same swatches, different angle

Same swatches with flash

Second Row, left to right - Bisque, Lavender, Purple, Sorbet, Goji, Cabernet, Ash, and Black

Same swatches, different angle

Same swatches with flash

Third Row - left to right - Sugar, Chiffo, Prosecco, Soft Plum, Cinnamon, Sandstone, Gunmetal, and Blue Quartz

Same swatches, different angle

Same swatches with flash

Last Row, left to right - Moonlinght, Seashell, Peony, Dk. Sienna, Penny, Olivine, Gold Leaf, and Black Ivy

Same swatches, different angle

Same swatches with flash

My favorite row in the palette has to be the last one.

Olivine is such a unique and gorgeous color and who could forget that Blue Quartz (and I don't even like blue shadows that much).

The eyeshadows are pigmented, very buttery smooth, and glide on while also blending quite easily.

I prefer this palette over the original Lorac Mega Pro Palette.

I feel like this one has much more of a color range.

Just like the first one it does come with 32 shades in shimmer and matte finishes.

Unlike the first palette, this one is still available for purchase online at ulta.com.

If you plan on purchasing them online, don't forget to go through Ebates first prior to purchasing.

Below is my referral link to Ebates (currently 3% cash back for Ulta for any of you who are interested in signing up.
