I think the Target Beauty Box from September is the last item that I forgot to review for September.
This was my second Target Beauty Box and it was honestly a little disappointing.
The main reason was because it featured almost all hair care products.
Hair care products are nice, but I want a little makeup in my life.
4 out of the 6 products were hair care products.
First item in the box was a Dove Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute Supreme Creme Serum (such a long name).
This product is basically for curly hair (I have straight hair).
This is a leave in treatment to smooth and strengthen curly hair.
I love Dove so I will probably throw this in my hair for the fun of it.
I am sure it probably smells good.
Next up is the Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave In Conditioner.
I actually really like leave in conditioners. I spray them in my hair after shampooing and conditioning and then I'm out the door.
This one also protects hair from the harsh effects of blowdrying and flat ironing.
It has a light floral scent.
Next up is something yummy.
Yummy in the sense that it smells like creme brule.
This is the Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream (another product for curly hair).
A product that I have used even though I have straight hair.
It basically smooths curls, moisturizes hair, and helps manage frizz.
Lastly for the hair products and my absolute favorite out of this box is the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Renewal Lotion.
I swear that in the past month I have noticed a difference in my hair because of this.
My hair has grown and is much softer and healthier.
Once this runs out I plan on buying a full sized bottle.
It has joined my daily hair care regiment.
Now for non hair care items. The Colgate Optic White Toothpaste has been my favorite go to toothpaste ever since receiving it in an Influenster box months ago.
The last product from the box is a mini Aquaphor Healing Ointment.
This works well on dry, cracked, chapped, and irritated skin or lips.
I have used it on my lips and hands.
On the lips it works well, but for me I can't stand it when my hands are greasy.
Other than that it works well for healing skin with those conditions.
With each beauty box you receive a card that describes each product in The Beauty Box as well as a description on how to use each product.
In addition, you receive a coupon to use on Target Beauty purchases.
As with any subscription box there are always going to be items that are hit and miss, but for a price of $5 - $7 I can't complain.
It is a great way to try different products and find new loves.
All of the products in this box can be purchased in regular (and some deluxe) sized portions.
Just search for their names in the Target search bar.
Did you receive the September Target Beauty Box? What did you think about almost all of it being hair care products?
