Stila A Whole Lot of Love Review and Swatches

The Stila A Whole Lot Of Love Set is a gorgeous holiday set that doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention this year on social media.

I find that odd considering that this is a gorgeous palette.

My whole thing with this collection is that I think that it would have been perfect had it been released around Valentine's Day.

All of the items in their holiday collection have the theme of love and the packaging is all about love letters.

I love you nonetheless Stila A Whole Lot of Love Set, I'm just saying.

I should have called this blog post Stila A Whole Lot of Swatches (you'll see soon enough).

Time to admire the palette...

...and admire some more

Isn't it pretty? It is soft and romantic.

The box. The Set comes in a gold box with ornate detailing, very holidayish (a new word, I think so).

The back of the box. Even more exciting than the front of the box, it gives a much needed chart of the palette with numbers and corresponding shade names.

The outside of the palette itself which resembles a box of envelopes or a big love letter itself depending on your interpretation of it.

It is adorned with ornate detailing as well as love lettering writing with the words love and love letters as well as some other oldie but goodies.

Let's get into the good stuff, the swatches!

All swatches were done on my bare arm without any primer.

Left to right - Light Pink (1.),  Dusty Rose (2.), Peach Shimmer (3.), and Berry Shimmer (4.)

Quick side note - Peach Shimmer (3.) is such a pretty shade. It is peachy with gold shimmer and I am absolutely obsessed with it. I can't keep it off of my face (except between showering and sleeping).

Ready for what's next? Oh yeah! It's the shadows, baby!!!

First row, left to right - White Sparkle (1.), Pale Peach (2.), Nude Shimmer (3.), Metallic Peach (4.), and Rose Gold (5).

Another side note - I thought that Nude Shimmer was Kitten when I first swatched it. It definitely reminded me of Kitten. I may have to swatch them side by side some day to confirm this.

Yet another side note - The Peach Shimmer Blush and Metallic Peach Eyeshadow together is a combo to be reckoned with.

Also, Rose Gold is nothing to complain about (extremely pigmented).

Onto the second row, swatched left to right - Rose Pewter (6.), Seaweed (7.), Metallic Taupe (8.), Warm Honey (9.), and Warm Taupe (10.)

This has to be my favorite row in the whole palette. These shades are all earthy, pigmented, and oh so fantastic.

Up next is the third row, swatched from left to right - Cool Taupe (11.), Chocolate (12.), Rose (13.), Deep Plum (14.), and Lapis (15.)

Lapis have mercy on my soul. This is such a bright fierce blue. I typically don't look blues, but this blue is so awesome that it should be its own color, because blue seems so ordinary.

Last but not least, Row 4 swatched left to right - Denim (16.), Frosted Lavender (17.), Eggplant (18.), Black Pearl (19.), and Coal (20.)

Frosted Lavender is a beautiful duochrome purple/blue/silver.

Whew! Swatching done. That was a workout for sure.

My review:

  1. Pigmented shadows and blushes
  2. Very soft formula
  3. Apply easily
  4. Blend easily
  5. Shadows are in various finishes - shimmer, matte, satin, and glitter
  6. Long lasting
  7. Very flattering
  8. Shimmers are more pigmented than mattes, but mattes can be built up
Overall this is a great palette. You get a lot of bang for your buck.

You get 20 eyeshadows, 4 blushes, and a deluxe sized mascara, all for $59.
