Do you ever get a new palette and look at it and think that you really don't want to use it?
You think that you don't want to use it because you don't want to mess up its beauty or perfection.
Sometimes I do.
The Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette is gorgeous, but for some reason all I wanted to do was dip my fingers into its pigments and paint swatches on my arm.
That's exactly what I did.
Then once I had swatched all of the colors I couldn't stop taking pictures of them in an attempt to capture the perfect swatches.
All swatches were done without a primer. These are what the shadows look like on their own.
The first row of swatches on my arm are the 1st two rows of the palette. Left to right: Bones, Grip, Dead Beat, Beat Down, Pandemonium, Framed, Fast-Ball, 1985, Underhand, and Harlot.
The second row of swatches on my arm are the last two rows of the palette. Left to right: Discreet, Grasshopper, C-Note, Arctic, Robbery, Bitter, Flame, Low, Crowbar, and Delete.
Swatches with flash.
More swatches (ignore the tissue in my hand, swatching is not a glamorous life).
I haven't yet used the Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette to create a look, but I fear it won't be long until I do.
Almost all of the shadows swatched nicely. Just a couple had to be built up , which were either the mattes or the lighter shades. Once built up they definitely pack a punch.
I can already tell just from swatching the Vice 4 that this will become one of my favorite Vice Palettes next to Vice LTD.
If you haven't yet picked yours up, it is available at urbandecay.com as well as sephora.com.
