Beauty boxes seem to be becoming more popular as the days pass.
We have Ipsy, Birchbox, GlossyBox, Walmart's Beauty Box, BeautyCon's BBF Box, and Target's Beauty Box to name a few.
Target Beauty Boxes are available monthly and range from $5-$7.
Target's Beauty Boxes are different from some of the other beauty boxes in that it isn't a subscription.
They are available at the beginning of the month and are available on a first come, first served basis. This means that they can and will sell out and once they are gone they can't be ordered.
The items that are in the boxes are available for purchase in full size, though.
August's Target Beauty Box was the first beauty box I have tried from Target.
The items pictured above were in the box.
- Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara (full size) - retail $5.99
- Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist (deluxe size) - retail $19.99 for full size
- Clariol Hair Food (full size) - $11.99
-Olay Active Botanicals Daily Lotion and Toner (deluxe sizes) - $14.99 for full sizes
-2 Crest 3D Whitestrips (sample) - $49.99 for 4
My opinions on the products:
I am a huge fan of the Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara. It has been my go to mascara for the past couple of weeks.
The brush is unique with its short bristles which are all around the wand making it easy to reach all of your lashes.
I find that it makes my lashes longer and separated.
I recommend making sure that you wipe the wand before applying as to avoid clumps.
I haven't yet tried the Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist, but it smells like sunflowers and from what I have read it helps protect hair from the sun while making it soft.
The Clariol Hair Food is another product that I love.
First, it smells amazing with its honey and apricot scent.
Second, it makes my hair look amazing and soft for up to a week.
I shampoo and condition my hair and then apply this while I am in the shower combing it through my hair with my fingers. Then wash it out before getting out of the shower.
I have been using the Olay Active Botanicals Toner and Daily Lotion daily.
The scents are nice and I find that the toner really cleans my skin and the lotion is very hydrating, but not greasy.
I plan on buying full sizes when my samples run out.
Another product I haven't gotten around to trying is the Crest 3D Whitestrips.
I am a little hesitant about trying them because most of the reviews say that these cause pain in the gums and teeth, but do whiten.
Well, no one ever said beauty was painless.
I am very pleased with my August Target Beauty Box.
The September Target Beauty Box will be available online on Tuesday, September 9th and will be $7.
Did you get the August Target Beauty Box? Thoughts?
