The Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette is hands down a palette that catches your eye.
Just look at the cover of the palette with its gorgeous artistry. It demands to be seen.
When I first saw the pictures of this palette I figured I would get it eventually.
How could you not want to get this palette?
No really, look at this palette.
It really is a gorgeous palette. Anaconda and Phresh immediately caught my eye.

From the swatches it is easy to see, like with most mattes, that the pigmentation is not as great as it is with the shimmers.
Some of the mattes swatched streaky and light. They can be built up though by packing on the color.
Another way to get the mattes to perform better would be to apply them over a good eye base.
All of the eyeshadows were swatched over a concealer.
In the picture below you can see that the shadows still show up even when they were scrubbed with soap and water. Something can definitely be said about the staying power of these.
I like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette, it is a good palette for Summer, but I don't feel like it is necessarily a must have unless of course you are a collector of palettes, then you should definitely get it.
The Anastasia Artist Palette can be picked up at Sephora, Ulta, and Macy's. It retails for $30.
