Sephora + Pantone Universe - Marsala Collection and Swatches

I was so excited to see that the Pantone Color for 2015 is Marsala.

It is so pretty.

Once the color was announced I immediately starting wondering what the Sephora + Pantone Universe Collection would look like.

I saw an online article which had a sneak peek of some of the items in the collection and I went crazy.

I then started stalking Sephora's website daily hoping to be one of the first to learn of its release so that I could order the items I wanted.

Finally, it was released and I picked up the Facets of Marsala eyeshadow palette, the Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio, and the Pure Marsala Lip Cream Lipstick.

Let's take a peek...

The Facets of Marsala eyeshadow palette is beautiful. All of the swatches were done without primer, which may be while some of the swatches didn't come out as well. Overall, the shimmers are more pigmented, but the mattes can be built up by packing on the color. The shadows are soft and smooth and apply nicely.

The shade called Castor Gray which is in the last row (2nd to last shade) is a duochrome and it reminds me of MAC's Blue Brown pigment or Too Faced's Girly.

The rose gold packaging is elegant and beautiful. I love that this year's palette comes in more compact packaging. It is perfect for travel.

The Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio is gorgeous and very pigmented. The shades are also smooth and apply nicely.

The Marsala matte lipstick is a beautiful color. I am in love.

I can't wait to create a look using all of the Marsala items.

Below is the link to check out the collection on Sephora's website.

Have you picked up any of the Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala items? Which is your favorite?
