Sephora + Pantone Universe - Marsala Collection and Swatches

I was so excited to see that the Pantone Color for 2015 is Marsala.

It is so pretty.

Once the color was announced I immediately starting wondering what the Sephora + Pantone Universe Collection would look like.

I saw an online article which had a sneak peek of some of the items in the collection and I went crazy.

I then started stalking Sephora's website daily hoping to be one of the first to learn of its release so that I could order the items I wanted.

Finally, it was released and I picked up the Facets of Marsala eyeshadow palette, the Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio, and the Pure Marsala Lip Cream Lipstick.

Let's take a peek...

The Facets of Marsala eyeshadow palette is beautiful. All of the swatches were done without primer, which may be while some of the swatches didn't come out as well. Overall, the shimmers are more pigmented, but the mattes can be built up by packing on the color. The shadows are soft and smooth and apply nicely.

The shade called Castor Gray which is in the last row (2nd to last shade) is a duochrome and it reminds me of MAC's Blue Brown pigment or Too Faced's Girly.

The rose gold packaging is elegant and beautiful. I love that this year's palette comes in more compact packaging. It is perfect for travel.

The Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio is gorgeous and very pigmented. The shades are also smooth and apply nicely.

The Marsala matte lipstick is a beautiful color. I am in love.

I can't wait to create a look using all of the Marsala items.

Have you picked up any of the Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala items? Which is your favorite?

BR Blush and Bronzer - Swatches

In one of my recent Miss A Hauls I picked up these adorable heart mosaic blushes and bronzers by BR.

They reminded me of the Physican's Formula Happy Boosters.

For one dollar each I wasn't expecting much, but ended up being pleasantly surprised.

If you love to get your shimmer on you are going to love these babies.

The top coats on the blush and bronzer do have a shimmer overspray, but it is possible that once that wears away they may be more of a matte.

Miss A has three blushes and three bronzers to choose from.

The blushes are in Soft Pink, Apricot Hue, and Carnation.

I picked up Apricot Hue and honestly all I see is pink, but nonetheless I am happy with it. It's beautiful!

All of the blushes are still available on Miss A's website.

The bronzers are in Summer Time, Golden Sunshine, and Bronze Radiance.

I picked up Golden Sunshine and it's a beauty.

All three of the bronzers are currently sold out on Miss A's website, but keep an eye out as they may be restocked in the future.

On to the swatches.

Swatched in natural light - left Golden Sunshine and right Apricot Hue.

Now with flash - left Golden Sunshine and right Apricot Hue.

The two pictures below are in direct sunlight. Here you can see that they don't look as shimmery.

Have you seen these before? What are your thoughts?

Miss A Beauty Haul

Ever since I had found out about Miss A I have been utterly and completely obsessed with the website.

How could you not?

Have you seen the site?

They have accessories, hair items, beauty items, and nail items.

Accessories include necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets.

Beauty items include lip gloss, blushes, eyeshadow, nail polish, lashes, and many other items.

I usually shop for accessories galore, but in one recent haul I picked up some beauty items.

The have these new Princessa Magnetic Nail Polishes which totally caught my eye.

You apply the nail polish and then hover the magnet on the outside of the bottle over the polish and it creates a sort of pattern.

Such a new and interesting concept. I can't wait to try them out.

I picked up three colors in Pink Champagne, Soho Sweet Pea, and Sweet Dreams. They have three other colors available.

I also got two Starry IT Girl lip glosses.

The packaging got me.

They are so cute with the peacock detailing.

They have 6 different ones. I got numbers 5 and 6.

I picked up this adorable Kleancolor Egg Bomb Balm that looks a lot like EOS or REVO lip balms.

These are shaped like eggs and are scented.

I picked up Scrambled Orange. There are 6 different ones, but they are currently sold out.

I also got these 4 Paris Escape Lip and Cheek Tints from Kleancolor.

They are in Florentine (pink and smells like rose?), Sweet Wine (red and smells like strawberry), Dusk Rose (purple and smells like grape), and Chateau (orange and smells like orange).

I got one of the natural oil lip therapy glosses in Macadamia oil. They have 5 others in aloe, jojoba, rosehip, avocado, and almond.

Lastly, I just picked up this cute mini green glitter polish.

Have you check out Miss A yet? Have you shopped and of their cosmetics?

They have $1 lashes that have been compared to Red Cherry lashes.

Everything is $1!!!

Smashbox On the Rocks Photo Op Palette and Swatches

I have been eyeing the Smashbox On the Rocks Photo Op Palette since it was first released for holiday 2014.

I finally decided to give in and buy it when it went on sale for $18 at Ulta.

I have to say that I usually am not unimpressed with many palettes, but this is one that I may regret buying and you'll see why soon.

Here is the box the palette comes in. It's so cute with its bling.

Back of the box with all of the details of the eyeshadows.

The outer case of the palette. I love it with its holographic diamonds.

I haven't yet used the palette but opened it up when I received it to make sure that all of the eyshadows were in tact.

I decided to just swatch the shades.

Here are swatches without primer in natural lighting.

A close-up of swatches with flash.

My verdict, overall I am not that happy with this palette.

The first three shades have glitter in them and are very patchy even when swiped numerous times.

The shimmers of course have the best pigmentation.

The gold, purple, and green shades were the most pigmented.

In this palette's defense these shadows may hold up better when placed over a primer and good eye base.

Smashbox shadows aren't my favorite, but I am a huge fan of the Full Exposure and Double Exposure Palettes.

I recommend skipping this one if you don't yet have this one and if you want a Smashbox Palette with some color, pick up the Double Exposure Palette.

Do you have the On the Rocks Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette? Thoughts?

Morphe Brushes - Jaclyn Hill Palette

Jaclyn Hill has collaborated with Morphe Brushes on an eyeshadow palette that contains all of her favorite Morphe Brushes shadows.

The palette is gorgeous.

The perfect palette for Fall.

It looks like it may even have a Marsala shade.

I first saw the palette on the Instagram page of @mac_daddyy.

Below is his picture.

Who could resist this palette?

Now look at the swatches below of the palette.

These are beautifully pigmented mattes and shimmers.

Is it January 1st yet so I can order this?

Will you be getting the Morphe Brushes Jaclyn Hill Palette?
