Profusion Bare Palette and Swatches

Every time it always happens in the same way.

The story is the same.

A broken record.

I guess I am predictable.

I go into Walgreens with a list in my head of the things that I need and only those things.

I come out with so much more.

Today it was the Profusion Bare Palette.

I blame my moment of weakness on the packaging.

The animal print drew me in.

The Profusin Bare Palette comes with 12 eyeshadows.

Upon opening the palette I immediately draw similarities to shades in the Urban Decay Naked 1, Naked 2, and Naked 3 palettes.

The Bare Palette contains beiges, bronzes, golds, taupes, and rose golds.

The shadows are matte and shimmer.

There are 4 mattes and 8 shimmers.

Here are the swatches

As you can see from the picture they may not be exact dupes for Urban Decay's Naked Palettes.

On the other hand, some of the shades are very pigmented, these of course would be the shimmer shades. I found the mattes to be lacking in pigmentation with the exception of the rose matte (2nd to last shade in the palette.

I swatched these without a primer on my bare arm.

I have high hopes that these shadows will look more vibrant once topped over a primer and an eye base. I believe it will allow them to sure their true potential.

If not the palette was only $5 and I always have my Naked Palettes.

Have you seen this Profusion Palette at your local drugstore? Thoughts?

  1. I purchased this palette few days ago, found it on clearance for $2.50! I thought after I put primer on the pigmentation was better. I think the palette is good for work or just a "lounging" day. Overall, the price can't be beat! I'm happy enough with this palette purchase.

    1. That's a great deal. I agree. On days that I need a quick neutral look it's a great palette. On days that I want a gorgeous neutral look I reach from my Urban Decay Naked Palettes or my Lorac Pro Palettes. Thanks for reading and commenting.
