New BH Cosmetics Brush Set, Color Lock Lipsticks, and Party Girl Pigments

Besides great sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, BH Cosmetics has released some new items.

One is a 12 piece Wild Brush Set.

Look at this cute animal case and the color, too gorgeous to pass up.

Currently it is on sale for $12.95, regularly priced at $24.95.

Another new release is their Color Lock Long Lasting Matte Lipstick.

The top to the lipstick case is adorable with its ornate detailing.

The lipsticks come in 12 shades.

They are described as a long wearing matte lipstick made with shea butter and vitamin e.

They have cute names such as, Adore Me, Crazy in Love, and Dark Rose.

They are on sale for $4.50 each and will be $8.95.

Lastly, BH has released another item in their Party Girl line which are BH Party Girl Loose Pigment Eyeshadows.

They come in 15 shades in names like, Loverboy, Dance Diva, Call Me, and Bounce to name a few.

They are on sale for $4.50 each, but will be regularly priced at $7.95.

The Cyber Monday sale starts now.

I already placed in order for the brush set and some of the lipsticks.

Will you be picking up any of these items during the Cyber Monday sale?

Kleancolor Mark of Love Lipsticks

Cute packaging gets me every time.

It is a weakness of mine.

Recently will browsing one of my favorite 99 cent stores I came across some Kleancolor lipsticks.

They are called the Mark of Love lipsticks and they are adorable.

They come in 8 different shades.

In the center of each lipstick is a heart.

Granted for a dollar a piece these lipsticks are not MAC lipsticks. They are even drugstore lipsticks, but they will provide you with a little color to your lips and they are conditioning.

Did I mention they are cute and only a dollar?

You can find Kleancolor Mark of Love lipsticks here on Kleancolor's site via the link below for $2.99 each.

What do you think of the Mark of Love lipsticks?

Lorac Unzipped - Eyes of the Day

Eyes of the day brought to you by the Lorac Unzipped Palette.

Brow Bone - Undercover

Above the crease - Unconditional

Crease - Unspoken

Lid - Unattainable

Inner Corner - Unreal

The lighting is not the best in this picture so it isn't that easy to see the makeup, but nonetheless that is the color combination that was used to create this look.

The blush is Milani's Dolce Pink and the lips are L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint in Bombshell.

Lorac Pro Palette 2

Out of all of the Lorac Pro Palettes, the Lorac Pro Palette 2 is my favorite.

I like the range of colors in the the Lorac Pro Palette 2 as well as the shimmers.

One of my go to looks that I love to create with the Lorac Pro Palette 2 is this one below.

This is the first time I tried the look a couple of months ago.

It is created using 5 of the shadows in the palette.

Brow bone - Buff

Above the crease - Nectar

Crease and under the eye- Chrome

Lid - Silver

Inner Corner - Snow

Which is your favorite pro palette from Lorac?

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

On an unrelated makeup topic...

When I was at Sephora a while back I picked up a Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy roller ball perfume.

It has quickly become one of my favorite perfumes.

I love it.

That's it and now back to our regularly scheduled makeup posts.

What is your favorite perfume? Have you tried any other perfumes from Juicy Couture?

Ipsy Glam Bag September 2014

Extremely late post alert.

I wanted to do a quick review of my Ipsy Glam Bag for September.

First of all, I love the metallic silver makeup bag.

Second, I don't have many dual ended makeup brushes except the ones that come with some of the Urban Decay Palettes. I was excited to get the dual ended crease brush from Crown Brush and so far I like it.

I absolutely am obsessed with the Mitchell and Peach hand cream. I have a huge dislike for any creams or lotions that leave your hands feeling greasy. This one goes on so smooth and is very hydrating.

The Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss. I wanted to love you. I really did. I found it to be messy and not very pigmented. When applying the gloss to your lips it goes outside of your lips. The color in the tube is deceiving. It is great if you want a light touch of color, but other than that it isn't anything to write home about.

I used the Pacifica liner once and I have no complaints about it.

I have yet to use the face cleanser.

I find that sometimes the next month's Ipsy Glam Bag has already arrived before I have had the chance to use all of the items in the previous month's bag.

My favorite item in September's Glam Bag hands down is the Mitchell and Peach Hand Cream.

What is your favorite item that you received from September's Glam Bag?

e.l.f. New York Haul

Recently I went on a trip to New York.

While I was there of course I went shopping for makeup.

New York has the only e.l.f. store and since I am a huge fan of e.l.f. I had to go.

I actually was a little underwhelmed with the store. In my head I envisioned it as this huge gigantic store.

Don't get me wrong they had a lot of products there I had just always imagined it on a more grander scale.

I still shopped nonetheless.

I picked up some everyday necessities as well as some new products.

I got the Sunset Prism palette which is just gorgeous.

I picked up the light blush palette since I had been unable to get it previously since it was sold out.

I picked up the new matte blush and bronzer duo in Fiji.

I replaced my Captivating lipstick and my glitter applicator since both had previously broken.

I picked up replacements for my e.l.f. concealer and Peach Keen blush and these were running low.

Finally, I purcahsed back-ups of my e.l.f. Zit Zapping Concealer, clear brow mascara, and makeup remover wipes.

I am glad I got to visit the official e.l.f. store in New York. I can cross this off my bucket list.

Have you been to the e.l.f. store in New York? Thoughts?

Urban Decay Naked Basics and Naked Basics 2 Swatches

The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette are a necessity for any makeup lover's collection.

After I received the Naked Basics 2 Palette I wanted to do a swatch comparison of the two palettes, so here it is.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Left to right - Venus, Foxy, W.O.S., Naked 2, Faint, and Crave

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette

Left to right - Skimp, Stark, Frisk, Cover, Primal, and Undone

Which do you prefer, the Naked Basics or the Naked Basics 2 Palette?

I have a hard time choosing. The Naked Basics Palette has more of a range of colors and the Naked Basics 2 has similar colors. Both are great for everyday neutral looks or for use as transition and blending shades.

Benefit - Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O' Blushes

Don't you just hate it when you put off buying something and then when you are ready to buy it it's too late?

One of the items that I kept procrastinating in buying this holiday season was the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O' Blushes.

I have one blush from Benefit in my makeup collection and it is Hervana.

I love that blush and am now kicking myself for not picking this one up.

I just looked online at Sephora, Benefit, and Ulta and it is sold out. The only place to buy it now is on ebay for a ridiculous inflated price.

The Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O' Blushes comes with 5 blushes, a bronzer, a highlighter, and a blush brush.

The blushes are Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Coralista, and Rockateur.

The bronzer is Hoola and the highlighter is Watt's Up!

The set is or better yet was $36.

Excuse me while I go and cry in the corner for missing on on this beauty.

Were you one of the smart ones who purchased the Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O'Blushes from Benefit?

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

If you are a follower of Jeffree Star like I am then you know something big is on the way.

Jeffree Star has created 3 liquid lipsticks called Velour Liquid Lipsticks and they look amazing.

The shades are Prom Night, I'm Royalty, and Redrum.

They are $18 each, but their will be a bundle price for all three once they are released.

What makes the Velour Liquid Lipsticks different from other liquid lipsticks on the market?

Jeffree Star describes the Velour Liquid Lipsticks as lightweight, not cracking easily, and as feeling like nothing is on your lips.

Uh, yes please!!!

Look at those colors!!!

Go to now until before Thanksgiving and sign up.

You will receive an email on Thanksgiving that will allow you to pre-order the Velour Liquid Lipsticks before the general public.

What are you waiting for?

I signed up when the website was first up and have been patiently waiting ever since and now the time is almost here.

I have my eye on Prom Night and Redrum, and possible I'm Royalty.

Which will you be getting?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Single Eyeshadows

Anastasia Beverly Hills is widely known for her brow products.

She has branched out into contouring powders that have been highly successful.

Even more so with customizable palettes, which allow you to create the perfect contour palette for you.

Next came many eyeshadows palettes which are also highly popular.

So the next plausible step would be to release single eyeshadows that can also go into a customizable palette.

Anastasia Beverly Hills individual eyeshadows will be released this Tuesday, November 18th.

Each individual shadow is $12 and looks like they are about the size of a MAC eyeshadow or a Makeup Geek shadow.

They come in a variety of finishes, duo chrome, metallic, satin, shimmer, sparkle, titanium, ultra matte, and velvet.

It looks like there are about 85 different shades to choose from based on the chart below from Anastasia Beverly Hills website.

There are a couple of bundles available. It is $40 for 4 shadows or $70 for 8 shadows and you receive a free empty palette, which holds 8 shadows.

The addict in me is eventually going to have to give in and get a palette with 8 shades.

Will you be picking up any of Anastasia Beverly Hills individual shadows?

LA Splash Lip Couture - Liquid Lipstick

Liquid Lipsticks are so popular right now.

Milani has them, Lime Crime has them, Hourglass has them, L.A. Girl has them, Too Faced has them, just to name a few brands.

Jeffree Star is releasing them at the end of the month and now L.A. Splash is releasing them on 11/20.

L.A. Splash's liquid lipsticks are called Lip Couture.

They are waterproof and dry matte.

They are available in 6 shades and will be released on November 20th.

Will you be trying LA Splash's Lip Couture?

Favorite Mascaras

We all have that favorite mascara.

The one that makes your lashes look incredible.

False like even.

Or we have those favorite mascaras.

I found that I have tried many mascaras as I am sure most of us have.

We have to to find the ones that we like.

My go to mascara for a long time was Maybelline's Great Lash.

Then I think I went through many other drugstore mascaras, I can't even remember. This was before I was a huge makeup addict.

When I started gaining a huge love and respect for makeup I turned to Cover Girl's Lash Blast Volume.

It's a great mascara for being drugstore and it is very affordable.

My mascara collection started to grow when I would receive some samples in Ipsy bags or in gift sets.

I used Urban Decay's Supercurl Supercurling mascara for awhile.

Then I found Too Faced's Lashgasm and Better Than Sex mascaras. I love these they are two of the best mascaras out there.

Smashbox Full Exposure mascara is really good to. It has a huge fluffly brushes that really add volume to your lashes.

Urban Decay's Perversion is good to.

My new favorite that I have been using daily is by Tarte and it is their Lights Camera Lashes.

I like how it makes my lashes look so it will be my go to mascara for everyday wear.

So there you have it. My mascara evolution.

What are some of your favorite mascaras?

Profusion Bare Palette and Swatches

Every time it always happens in the same way.

The story is the same.

A broken record.

I guess I am predictable.

I go into Walgreens with a list in my head of the things that I need and only those things.

I come out with so much more.

Today it was the Profusion Bare Palette.

I blame my moment of weakness on the packaging.

The animal print drew me in.

The Profusin Bare Palette comes with 12 eyeshadows.

Upon opening the palette I immediately draw similarities to shades in the Urban Decay Naked 1, Naked 2, and Naked 3 palettes.

The Bare Palette contains beiges, bronzes, golds, taupes, and rose golds.

The shadows are matte and shimmer.

There are 4 mattes and 8 shimmers.

Here are the swatches

As you can see from the picture they may not be exact dupes for Urban Decay's Naked Palettes.

On the other hand, some of the shades are very pigmented, these of course would be the shimmer shades. I found the mattes to be lacking in pigmentation with the exception of the rose matte (2nd to last shade in the palette.

I swatched these without a primer on my bare arm.

I have high hopes that these shadows will look more vibrant once topped over a primer and an eye base. I believe it will allow them to sure their true potential.

If not the palette was only $5 and I always have my Naked Palettes.

Have you seen this Profusion Palette at your local drugstore? Thoughts?

Ipsy Glam Bag - November 2014

Every month around the tenth I am always so excited for the mail to come.

This is the time when I receive my monthly glam bag from Ipsy.

Ipsy is a makeup subscription and it is worth every penny of the $10 it costs, at least in my opinion.

Granted there are times when maybe you receive a product or two that you are not over the moon about. There are other times though when all of the items are perfect for you.

November was that month for me.

I received a Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray

A Be a Bombshell Eye Base in Submissive

A Temptu Highlighter in Pink Pearl

A J.Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Red Potion

An Elizabeth Mott Glitterati Eyeliner

A Forever 21 glitter makeup bag

I haven't yet tried the hairspray, but I love Argan Oil so I am sure it will be good.

I used the Be A Bombshell Eye Base on Friday under my makeup and I found that it lasted about 6-7 hours before it creased.

I have yet to use the Temptu highlighter as I have never used any Temptu products.

I used the J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint the other day and I own about 6 others in my makeup collection. I love these. You just have to use a lip primer, lip brush, and apply them sparingly.

I used the Elizabeth Mott Glitterati Eyeliner the other day and I like it. It is black with silver micro glitter that is very subtle.

Overall I gave November's Ipsy Glam Bag an A+

Are you a glam bag subscriber? If so, what did you get?

Naked 2 Eyes of the Day - Verve and Pistol

The Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay is one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes.

This is one of my favorite looks using the palette.

I primed my eyes using the Urban Decay Primer Potion and MAC's Painterly Paint Pot.

Next, I applied Foxy to my brow bone.

I blended Tease into my crease to use as a transition shade.

Next I blended Pistol into my crease.

I patted Verve on my lid.

I used BootyCall as my inner corner highlight.

I lined under my eyes with a light brown eyeliner and went over it with Pistol.

I lined my top lid with Maybelline's Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black.

I curled my lashes and applied Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes Mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

I wore my makeup like this all day until I came home from work to my November Ipsy Glam Bag.

I received a Elizabeth Mott Glitterati Waterproof Black Eyeliner with Silver Glitter and a J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Red Potion.

Of course I had to use these immediately.

I lined over my Maybelline Eyestudio liner with the Elizabeth Mott Glitterati to test out the eyeliner.

I like the liner it has great staying power and the silver glitter is subtle.

I then primed my lips with a clear gloss and sparingly applied the Red Potion Wonder Lip Paint with a lip brush.

Voila! That is the finished look.

What do you think of the Naked 2 combination of Verve and Pistol?

BH Cosmetics Dark Rose Palette - Swatches

I finally got around to swatching the Dark Rose Palette from BH Cosmetics.

The Dark Rose Palette comes with 12 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, and a black liquid eyeliner.

The eyeshadows are matte, shimmer, and satin finishes.

The majority of the palette contains shimmer eyeshadows.

I counted 3 mattes, 2 satins, and 7 shimmers.

I swatched all of the shadows without a primer.

I found that 2 of them were patchy, those two being the satin shadows that have micro glitter. These are the brown with gold micro glitter (top row, last shade) and the (last row, 1st shade) which is a satin black with micro silver glitter.

My favorite colors in the palette are the pink shimmer with gold glitter  (top row, first shade) and the green shimmer with a bluish duochrome (last row, last shade).

Overall I like the shadows. I found that they are pigmented, blend nicely, and will really pop when placed over a great primer and an eye base.

The blushes were nice too. There is a peachy gold shimmer, a bright pink matte, and a peachy pink shimmer.

I can't wait to use this palette to create a look.

What do you think of the BH Dark Rose Palette after seeing the swatches?

Forever 21 Kitty Palette

Today while browsing Forever 21's website I came across this adorable kitty.

I thought it was a kitty lip balm similar to the owl lip balms.

When I clicked on the picture I was redirected to the details and found out that it was actually a Kitty eyeshadow palette.

How cute is this?

The palette opens up and on the left side are the eyeshadows and on the right side is a mirror with a couple of sponge applicators/brushes.

The palette contains 16 eyeshadows in shimmer and metallic finishes.

It retails for $6.90.

What do you think of the Kitty Palette from Forever 21?

Below is the link to check out the palette.

Palette Storage - OfficeMax Mesh Stacking Desk Sorter

I am an eyeshadow palette collector.

I have more eyeshadow palettes than I know what to do with them.

I have some stored in my Alex 9 drawers, some in my makeup desk, some in a three drawer organizer on my makeup desk, and some in the file organizer pictured below.

It is actually called an OfficeMax Mesh Stacking Desk Sorter and is $16.99 at OfficeMax.

It has 5 slots and a tray.

I currently have 27 palettes in mine and haven't even utilized the tray under the top portion since it is blocked by one of my acrylic lipstick organizers.

This is a great way to store those palettes that you use everyday.

Here is a picture of the desk sorter empty.

Where do you store your palettes?

Will you be picking up any of these gift sets?

Forever 21 Bow Lipsticks and Lip Glosses

Forever 21 Love & Beauty items have definitely been on my makeup radar lately.

They have so many cute items in their collection.

I already own a couple of the owl lip balms, because they are just too darn cute not to.

They have the cutest makeup mirrors, compact, and makeup bags.

I am constantly on the lookout for new items on the site. Ok so I stalk their site, so sue me.

Recently I came across these Bow Case Lipsticks and brilliant lip glosses.

The are so elegant in their black packaging yet have a hint of cute with their gold bows.

I am sold.

Each comes in three shades. The lipsticks come in Red, Nude, and Pink. The lipglosses come in Rose, Red, and Natural.

The lipsticks are $4.50 and the lip glosses are $3.90.

Their site says that the lipsticks give you a shimmer finish and the glosses a glossy shine. It sounds like they will all give you more of a natural look.

I can't wait to collect them all.

What do you think of Forever 21's lipsticks?

New Lime Crime Velvetines - Coming Soon

Lime Crime recently announced that there will be two new editions to their Velvetines colllection.

One is Cashmere which is described as a grey beige.

The other is called Pansy and it is a vivid purple.

There is no release date yet but I am thinking maybe Black Friday? That is when Pink Velvet was released last year.

I have my eye on Cashmere.

Which do you like?

Urban Decay Naked On The Run

I can't get enough Naked.

That is, I can't get enough of Urban Decay Naked products.

Urban Decay's wide range of Naked products are great for everyday neutral and natural looks.

Urban Decay recently released the Naked Vault which sold out faster than you can say checkout.

Now they are releasing the Naked On the Run Palette. Just in time to add to your Christmas list.

It is an on-the-go, grab and throw in your bag while rushing to and fro kind of palette.

Isn't just the cutest thing you've ever seen?

It's like the Naked Palette and Flushed Palette got together and had a cute On The Run baby and they invited some friends.

The palette or set comes with a Preversion mascara, zero liner, and Naked lipgloss.

It also comes with 5 shadows and I can't tell if these are new Naked shades or shades from the previous 3 Naked palettes. Either way I'm sold.

As if that wasn't enough it comes with a built in flushed palette complete with a blush, bronzer, and highlighter. It looks like these may be smaller in size when compared to the standard Flushed Palettes.

The Naked On The Run palettes launches online on November 20th.  It retails for $54.

I can't wait to get Naked On The Run.

How about you?

Smashbox Double Exposure Palette - 1st Look

The Smashbox Full Exposure Palette is one of my favorite palettes.

It has gorgeous mattes that blend nicely and sparkly shimmers that are very pretty when applied.

When I was on Sephora's website I saw that Smashbox had released a follow-up to the Full Exposure Palette called the Double Exposure Palette.

I was pretty sure I was going to get it. I read the description of the palette and found that the palette comes with 14 shades that act as 28 shades when they are used with water.

I saw that it was only available to VIB Rouges (highest level of Sephora member that has spent $1000 in a year on Sephora's products), luckily I have been a VIB Rouge for awhile. It is so easy to do. I ordered it using my 20% VIB Rouge coupon, which brought the palette down to around $41.

The palette is $52 and is currently out of stock on Sephora's website.

I am not sure if it will be back in stock or available at Sephora for everyone or available at Ulta. If you are interested in the palette, I say be on the lookout so that you will know when it is released.

Sephora allows you to enter your email regarding a specific product that is sold out so that when it is in stock again you will be notified and can order it.

Did you pick up the Double Exposure Palette from Smashbox?

Urban Decay Naked Vault

Another late post.

Urban Decay recently released the Naked Vault Collection.

It was gone faster than the blink of an eye.

It sold out extremely fast on Urban Decay, than Sephora, and finally Ulta.

If you were able to get your hands on one, consider yourself lucky. I am sure there are many people out there who envy you.

The Naked Vault is a limited edition collection that comes with all three Naked Palettes.

3 Naked Flushed blush, bronzer, and highlight palettes in Naked, Native, and Streak.

3 Naked lip glosses in Nooner, Rule 34, and Streak.

3 Naked double ended eyeliner pencils in Zero/Whiskey, Perversion/Pistol, and Darkside/Darkheart.

It is priced at $280 and is sold out. The only way to get one now if you missed out would most likely be on ebay and I can imagine they are going for around $500.

It would be cheaper to buy all of the products separate. The only thing you would be missing would be the box.

I decided not to pick up the Naked Vault because I already own all three Naked Palettes, 2 Flushed Palettes, a Naked Lip Gloss, and numerous Urban Decay eyeliners.

The addict in me couldn't rationalize the purchase and ultimately won over the collector in me.

Did you pick up the Urban Decay Naked Vault?

More Too Faced Chocolate Bar Looks

The Too Faced Chocolate Bar has quickly become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection. I find myself reaching for it so often.

The chocolate smell of the shadows may have something to do with that.

Another reason I find myself gravitating towards the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is that the shadows are great quality and are very flattering on the eyes.

Here are two looks that I created recently using the palette. The bottom look is one of my favorite looks that I wear quite often.

First Look

Brow bone and 1st third of the lid - White Chocolate

Crease - Salted Caramel

Middle of the lid - Marzipan

Last third of the lid and under the eye - Amaretto

Second Look

Brow bone - White Chocolate

Crease - Salted Caramel and Hazelnut

Lid - Creme Brulee over Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Bold Gold

Under the eye - Creme Brulee

Inner corner - Champagne Truffle

For both looks I used L'Oreal's Infallible gel eyeliner in Bronze. I used Tarte's Lights, Camera Lashes mascara for the first look and for the second look I can't remember.

My two favorite shades in the Chocolate Bar palette are Creme Brulee and Salted Caramel.

What's your favorite shade?

BH Cosmetics Dark Rose Palette

The newest palette by BH Cosmetics is called the Dark Rose Palette.

It is a gorgeous palette with detailed packaging.

It comes with 12 shimmer and matte eyeshadows in warm and cool tones, 3 blushes, and a black liquid liner.

It is currently on sale for $11.95. The regular price is $24.95.

Have you picked up the Dark Rose Palette from BH Cosmetics yet?
