MAC Rubenesque & Swatch

A couple months ago I gave in and bought a MAC Paint Pot.

I had never used them before and guess I was being thrifty by not spending $20 on them.

I have just been using the Maybelline Color Tattoos which I love because I find that for me they work wonderfully and are definitely affordable at as low as $6.99.

The first Paint Pot I bought was Painterly and I have to admit that I like it.

With that being said I was in Macy's recently doing some birthday shopping and happened to saunter over to the MAC counter. While there I browsed the Paint Pots and decided that I would pick up Rubenesque since I really don't have an eyeshadow base in my collection that is that color.

I would describe Rubenesque as an orange gold color. It is absolutely stunning. I have Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Fierce & Tangy which I recently picked up too, but that is a matte orange.

The staying power on the MAC Paint Pots are amazing. I highly suggest investing in a couple of them for your makeup arsenal. You won't be sorry. They definitely stay put once they set and they give you a nice even canvas to work with when applying your eyeshadow.

Rubenesque is by far my favorite Paint Pot yet. Which is yours?
