The picture below is amazing.

Imagine a lipgloss, lip stain, and lipstick coming together. Done imagining?

You get Melted by Too Faced.

It is a long wearing liquified lipstick.

It is available now in 6 shades:

Melted Nude

Melted Violet

They are $21 each and can be purchased on Too Faced's site here

I can't wait to try these. The Coral and the Violet look insane. Have you tried Melted yet?

Divergent Palette & Inspired Look

This is today's actual makeup of the day.

When I first heard that Sephora was releasing a Divergent Makeup Collection I was intrigued.

I have to admit that I have heard of Divergent but never read any of the books. I do though love makeup collections and when there are collections based on movies, books, or artists I want to collect them and my curiosity is heightened even more.

I passed initially on the Divergent Makeup Collection because it was around $60 and I had other items I wanted to buy first. I had no idea that it would be in such high demand and would sell out like crazy.

I went to Sephora on Friday night thinking I would most likely pick it up now if it was available after watching reviews and seeing pictures of it. Well, to my disappointment the only thing left was the display and the Limited Edition Multi-piece Collector's Palette.

After checking it out and liking what I saw and the fact that it was only $32.50 I picked it up the Limited Edition Multi-piece Collector's Palette as an early birthday present for myself.

The palette comes with 3 eyeshadows, a blush, a bronzer, and a lip gloss. All of the shades are neutral and blend very well. They are extremely soft.

My final verdict is that I am glad that I picked up the palette but am still hoping that I can get my hands on the rest of the collection and funny enough I now am curious about the movie.

I created this look my applying the first shadow, the off white matte to my brow bone and inner corner.

Next I applied the third shadow the matte brown to my crease and blended it.

Lastly I applied the middle champagne shimmer shadow to my lid and under my eye.

I lined my lid with liner, curled my lashes, applied mascara, and applied the pretty nude lip gloss to my lips.

Overall I liked this palette and am excited for the rest of the collection. Have you picked up any of the Divergent items? Thoughts?

NYX For Your Eyes Only Beautiful Green Eyes

Makeup of the day from a day that has long past.

I have so many looks that I have done, but am still playing catch up on posting them.

For this look I used the NYX For Your Eyes Only Beautiful Green Eyes.

I blended three different greens together (light, medium, and dark) on the lid up to the crease.

I lined under the eye with the burgundy shade to give my eyes a pop of color.

I applied my usual, everyday liner and mascara.

I do believe that this palette by NYX is gorgeous and is very flattering for green eyes. Do you have this palette or any of the others like this one? Thoughts?

St. Patrick's Day Makeup

A couple of years ago Coastal Scents had a couple of St. Patrick's Day quads.

I bought them highly inspired to create a St. Patrick's Day look, but by the time I had received them St. Patrick's Day had come and gone.

I put the palettes away and completely forgot about them. Then in early March of this year I was going through my makeup and rediscovered them.

I was determined to create a St. Patrick's Day look this year using these quads.

Well, I ended up using one of them at least. The one that is pictured on the right with the gold shades.

Here's how I created this St. Patrick's Day look:

I applied e.l.f.'s Mineral Eyeshadow in Bridal Party to my brow bone.

Next I applied the gold matte in the top right hand corner of the palette to my crease and blended it.

Then I patted the green frost in the top left hand corner to the first third of my lid.

I placed the dark green shimmer in the bottom right corner to the remaining two thirds of my lid and blended the greens together.

I lined under my eyes with the lime green shimmer in the bottom left corner.

I curled my lashes, applied, mascara, and lined my top lid with eyeliner.

Naked Flushed Native Palette - 1st Look

Urban Decay has released two more versions of their Naked Flushed Palettes.

The one below is Native.

The bronzer in Native looks the same to me as the bronzer in the original Naked Flushed Palette. On the other hand, the highlight color in the Native Palette looks more brighter and less pink toned.

The blush in Native is more of a bright pink than the original palette and favors a lighter skin tone.

The Naked Flushed Palette in Native is available now on Urban Decay's website and at Sephora.

I have to say that I like Native better than the original Naked Flushed Palette. How about you?

Sephora VIB Rouge Birthday Gift

It's that time of year again.

Birthday time!!!

Birthday time means a gift from Sephora.

This year Sephora has a Make Up For Ever Set as their birthday gift.

VIB members get a sample sized Smoky Extravagant Mascara and a Rouge Artist Natural N9 lipstick.

VIB Rouge members get both of the items above plus a mini Aqua Eyes black liner.

I have tried the Smoky Extravagant Mascara before when I redeemed 100 points with Sephora and I like it. It has a very unique and fluffy brush that makes lashes look amazing.

I have heard great things about Make Up For Ever but have never picked up any of their other items, so I am excited to try out the liner and lipstick.

Have you picked up your birthday gift from Sephora yet? Thoughts?

Peach & Gray

Shimmer, shimmer, everywhere!

I created a look using shimmer. Ok maybe it wasn't everywhere, but I got your attention.

To create this look I used the 120 Palette, 4th Edition from BH Cosmetics.

I used white, peach, and gray shimmer shadows. I placed the white on the inner corner and blended it into the peach which was placed on the middle of the lid. I then blended a gray shimmer in the outer corner. I applied liner and mascara and called it a day.

I like the contrast of the peach and gray together. What do you think?

Bridal Shower Makeup

This is my Bridal Shower Makeup from February. This is a little bit late considering I am already married now, but better late than never.

I used Sugarpill Afterparty from the Sweetheart Palette in my crease. Too Faced Pure Glam on the Lid, Cream Colored Ponies on the Brow Bone, and Moon on Their Wings on the inner corner and under my eye from the A Few of My Favorite Things Palette. I used NYX Glitter Mania in Blue on the Lid. Eyeliner is e.l.f. Cream Liner in Black. For my lips I used OCC Lip Tr in Pris. I don't know the name of the lashes.

Urban Decay Electric Palette - Release Date

Finally.

We finally have a release date on the Electric Palette from Urban Decay...

It is March 18th!

Who's ready?

It has been announced that the Electric Palette will be a permanent item as opposed to limited edition.

Also the Electric Palette contains a warning that states that 4 of the shadows are not safe for use in the immediate eye area. These are Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban. I hope this only means the they are not safe for the inner corner or waterline.

I can't wait for March 18th. How about you?

Ammo Palette Day 4 - Maui Wowie Sin Smog

The final day of my Ammo Palette Series.

This one is somewhat of a tongue twister and goes like this, Maui Wowie Sin Smog. Try saying that three times fast.

For the final day in the series I decided to go for a neutral look. I started with the lightest of the three shades first and worked my way to the outer corner with the darkest of the three shades.

Polyester Bride - Brow Bone & Inner Corner

Maui Wowie - 1st third of the Lid up to the Crease

Sin - Middle of the Lid up to the Crease

Smog - Outer third of the Lid up to the Crease

I followed the same order with the shadows when lining under the eye.

I used the same liner and mascaras as in the following series, which are L'Oreal's 24 HR Infallible Liner in Espresso and Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara. I used the em cosmetics waterliner in Black Olive.

In closing out this series I must say again how versatile this palette is. You can create edgy looks, looks with a pop of color, or neutral looks. This look is perfect for everyday.

My favorite look in the series was Shattered Last Call. Which was yours?

Ammo Palette Day 3 - Grifter Smog

Day 3 in my Ammo Palette Look Series. I am beginning to think that I should have called this series the stage name series. When putting the names of the two shades together that is how they sound.

For this look I used Grifter and Smog.

Polyester Bride - Brow Bone & Inner Corner

Grifter - 1st Half of the Lid up to the Crease

Smog - 2nd Half of the Lid up to the Crease

Under the eye I used Grifter for the first two thirds and Smog in the outer portion of the eye.

I blended the shadows, lined my top lid with a dark brown liner, applied mascara, and lined my waterline with the em cosmetics in Black Olive.

This look is a neutral look with a soft lilac pop. This is not too dramatic to wear it couldn't be worn as an everyday look.

Ammo Palette Day 2 - Chopper Mildew

Day 2 in my Ammo Palette Look Series.

I call this one Chopper Mildew which strangely enough sounds like a stage name.

This look is simple to create. It is done using 4 shades from the Ammo Palette.

Polyester Bride - Brow Bone & Inner Corner

Sin - Crease

Chopper - 1st Half of the Lid up to the Crease

Mildew - 2nd Half of the Lid up to the Crease & Under the Eye

Line Upper Lid with favorite liner, curl lashes, and apply favorite mascara.

Peach and green may not be the first color combo that comes to your mind, but hey they are both secondary colors so that has to account for something. Either way this is a great look for Spring which will be here before we know it.

Vegas Sephora Haul

I just ended my honeymoon with a trip to Vegas. Of course, I couldn't visit Vegas without picking up some makeup. While walking the strip I noticed a Sephora and well you can imagine...

That's right. Surprisingly I bought things. I know. It's crazy, right?

I picked up some items that I have been having my eye on lately.

Here's what I got:

-Urban Decay's Ammo Palette - I have one but mine was ready for a replacement.

-Kat Von D's Esperanza Palette - Perfect Palette for Spring.

-Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow - I opened it when I got home and sadly it is broken. I have to return it.

-Urban Decay's Naked Lip Gloss in Naked - Appears to be a dupe for the Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Luminous from Milani that was in my Walgreens haul.

-Stila Smudge Sticks in Canary & Mint Julep - I did a recent post swatching these.

I didn't notice anything incredibly different from the Sephora in Vegas. On the outside it looked huge and inviting, but all in all I would say that it resembles other Sephoras. It is just conveniently located on the strip. Way to go Sephora, way to go!

Have you hauled any items from Sephora lately?

Walgreens Haul

I stopped by Walgreens and had to check out the makeup as I normally do.

I was looking for any of the limited edition items from Maybelline and Wet n Wild. Unfortunately, none of them were at this Walgreens so I found a Wet n Wild display.

I immediately grabbed a set of the Wet n Wild brushes which includes a foundation brush and an eyeshadow brush. The colors of the bristles are very eye catching and definitely "Springish."

I then grabbed 5 of the glitter singles from Wet n Wild. Now these are similar to the glitter cream shadows from NYX in that the top layer is glitter and underneath is cream. These are a creasing nightmare, but I really only use the top layer of glitter and some glitter adhesive to apply it to the lids.

The shades I picked up were Spiked, Brass, Bleached, Binge, and Groupie. They are normally 99 cents but if I recall I got them for 69 cents each.

Finally I made one last stop to the Milani display and picked up one of the new Brilliant Shine Lip Glosses in Luminous. This one is so pretty, it is a pinkish gold or rose gold. I recently picked up one of the Naked Glosses from Urban Decay in the shade Naked and I feel like they may be dupes. I will do a post on that in the future.

All in all I have to say my Walgreens haul went very well and rang in around $10.

Have you picked up any of these items?

Ammo Palette Day 1 - Shattered Last Call

The Ammo Palette from Urban Decay is one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes.

It has such a wide variety of beautiful shimmer shades. You have your neutrals and you also have those shades that offer a pop of color. You can create a soft look or an edgy look depending upon your mood.

One of my favorite looks that I have created with this palette was done by using Shattered and Last Call. It is the first look in a four day series using the Ammo Palette.

Polyester Bride - Brow Bone & Inner Corner
Shattered - 1st Half of the Lid
Last Call - 2nd Half of the Lid

I really like how these two colors look together. Last Call is my favorite shade in the Ammo Palette. What is your favorite shade in the Ammo Palette?

Stila Smudge Stick Swatches - Canary & Mint Julep

With Spring fast approaching Stila has added some new shades of their Smudge Sticks to their regular line.

Two of the shades that instantly caught my eye, probably because they are my two favorite colors are Canary and Mint Julep.

Who wouldn't want waterproof eyeliner in yellow and mint green?

I have only owned one other Smudge Stick besides these two which was a brown that came with the In the Light Palette. I used that eyeliner so much that it ran out.

Pros:

Very pigmented
Work great on the water line
Are smudge proof
Are water proof
Come in a variety of colors

Cons:

Price ($20)

Below are the swatches of Mint Julep and Canary.

Do you own any Smudge Sticks by Stila? Thoughts?

Wet n Wild Walking the Red Carpet - Swatches

Wet n Wild 8 Pan Palettes are the same to me as are Maybelline Color Tattoos. In the sense that when I see a new limited edition collection released I have to have it.

They are also hard to find as are limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoos. I saw pictures of the Walking the Red Carpet Palette from Wet n Wild about two weeks ago. I was amazed my how vibrant the gold eyelid color was in pictures.

The palette is a neutral palette that also has beautiful gold and bronze shimmers. It is almost all shimmer with the exception of one brow bone shade. This palette is available at select Walgreens and anywhere else that carries limited edition Wet n Wild items, such as CVS and Rite Aid. I bought mine on ebay for $12.99.

Below are swatches of the palette.

Have you picked up the Walking the Red Carpet Palette? Opinions?

Maybelline Dare To Go Nude Color Tattoo - Swatches

I am utterly and completely addicted to Maybelline Color Tattoos. There really is no other way to put it.

Every time a new limited edition collection comes out I know that I must have them in my life or I may just die. Ok I probably won't die, but I will definitely feel like I am missing out if I don't have them.

The reason I have this love for Maybelline Color Tattoos is that I have found that they work really well on me. This means that they last a long time and only crease after hours and hours of wear. They are one of my Holy Grail makeup products.

When I first saw pictures of the Dare to go Nude Collection of Color Tattoos I was immediately breathless. I love Barely Beige and Barely Branded and I typically use one or the other daily in my makeup routine. Neutrals are the perfect everyday, go to makeup.

Seeing that this collection was all neutrals and actually a range of neutrals I made it my life's mission to obtain them. I always find that getting my hands on Maybelline's limited edition lines of the Color Tattoos is usually a chore. I am never able to find them and after a couple weeks of searching I resort to being robbed by purchasing them on ebay. Sometimes it is just worth the money.

With all that being said I received my order today in the mail and without further adieu I bring you swatches of them.

Swatched left to right - Pure Nude, Beige-ing Beauty, Nude Compliment, Sleek & Spice, Caramel Cool, and Stroke of Midnight

Just from swatching them I think that Caramel Cool is my favorite thus far. Have you picked up any of the Dare to go Nude Color Tattoos? Which is your favorite?

NYX Infinite Shadow Stick Swatches - Rose Gold & Crystal

NYX  recently came out with a new product called the Infinite Shadow Stick. I find that they are the newer improved version of the Jumbo Eye Pencil.

Don't get my wrong I love JEPs just as much as the next gal, but the fact remains that they are for the most part softer and tend to be greasy.

This may not be a problem for some but for me it is a disaster. JEPs tend to crease on me after about 4 hours. Even the ever so loved Milk.

When I first saw these at IMATS LA in January I was a little skeptical. I picked up Crystal at that time since it is a white and would work well to make my eyeshadows pop. It is a white shimmer whereas Milk is a white matte. Once I applied and blended out I don't seem to notice the shimmer too much and of course it isn't a problem if worn under a shimmer shadow.

I have been using Crystal now for a couple of months and have to say that I am very pleased with it. I don't notice creasing until after a full work day which is about 8-9 hours. Even now when I swatched them in the picture below I scrubbed my arm and can still see the outline.

They are pigmented, long lasting, and have great staying power. The only aspect that may be seen as a downside is that they are $9.00. This can be a little pricey when trying to collect them all. They come in 9 shades which are, Crystal, Blackout, Chocolate, Silk, Sweet Pink, Flushed, Rose Gold, Bronze, and Almond. The other shade pictured below is Rose Gold.

NYX's Infinite Shadow Sticks have definitely been added to my Holy Grail of makeup products. They make my eyeshadow pop and last longer.

Have you tried the Infinite Shadow Sticks from NYX? Thoughts?

Below is the link to check them out on NYX's site. They are also available at ULTA and anywhere else that NYX is sold.
