MAC Warm Neutral - Day 4

Another look that I created using the fantastic MAC Warm Neutral Palette.

Brow bone - Brule
1st half of lid and outer half of lid up to the crease - Saddle
Center of the lid - Creative Copper
Inner Corner - Honey Lust

This is one of my favorite looks that I have created with this palette thus far.

Cargo Spring Tea Tin Cream Eyeshadow Palette

I was so disappointed when I was unable to purchase the holiday palette that Cargo had released this past holiday.

So you can imagine my excitement when I just found out while visiting Kohl's website that Cargo has a new palette for Spring.

The palette is an all cream eyeshadow palette. It is called the Spring Tea Tin Cream Eyeshadow Palette. It is $39 and contains 12 cream shadows that can be used on eyes, lips, and cheeks. I am sure these shadows would also make for great eyeshadow bases.

The palette comes in the most adorable girlie and incredibly cute packaging with it's tea cups and cupcakes. In addition, the shadows have tea and cookie names.

This palette is perfect for Spring and is available at Kohl's, Macy's, and anywhere else that sells Cargo.

What do you think about the new Cargo palette?

Sephora Divergent Collection

Sephora will be releasing a Divergent inspired makeup collection this March.

It is inspired by the Young Adult book Divergent which is also now a movie that will be released March 21st.

The collection contains 3 different sets. Each set ranges from $27.50 - $59.50.

One set contains 6 nailpolishes.

Another set looks like a palette which has 3 eyeshadows, a blush, a bronzer and a lip gloss.

The last set appears to be the biggest with three individual eyeshadow palettes each with 5 shadows, a blush brush, 4 lip glosses, and a face palette with blush, bronzer, and highlighter.

I haven't read the book Divergent but have been hearing all of the hype. Being a makeup lover though I can appreciate the collection. I am seriously thinking that I may have to pick up the big set as it looks gorgeous.

Are you a Divergent lover, a makeup lover, or both?

e.l.f. Smudge Pots

e.l.f. has released a new product to their Essential line which looks very promising.

They are called Smudge Pots and they can be used as eyeliner, eyeshadows, or eyeshadow bases.

How did I not know about these?

They are $2 each on e.l.f.'s site.

These are the shades they come in and are in order by the picture below from left to right.

Pearls of Wisdom

Ain't that Sweet

Back to Basics

Cruisin Chic

I have to try these out and see how they hold up to Maybelline Color Tattoos and MAC's Paint Pots. Will you be trying these out?

Coastal Scents Envision Mascara

Coastal Scents released a new mascara called Envision.

It comes in either volume or length formulas.

It is currently $7.95.

I have never tried any mascaras from Coastal Scents. Have you?

Smashbox Wondervision Citrine

This was a simple look that I had done a while back.

I say simple look because it was done using basically two eyeshadows, some liner, and mascara. A simple look is not my typical go to look, but sometimes I find it necessary when in a hurry.

To create this look I used my Smashbox Wondervision Mega Palette.

I applied the white shimmer to the inner corner and applied Citrine on the lid up to the crease. Citrine is a pretty light peach shimmer that is absolutely gorgeous.

I then lined top he top of my lid with a brown cream liner, curled my eyelashes, applied black mascara, and liner under my eye with a brown shimmer liner.

That's it! The whole look took less than 10 minutes and only used 5 products. This is a great everyday natural look.

What products do you use to create a quick makeup look?

Sugarpill - Dollipop & Flamepoint

Just another makeup of the day using Sugarpill.

For this look I used the Sugarpill Burning Heart and Sweet Heart Palettes. I also used the Adorable Palette from NYX. I also tried out my new Revlon Color Burst in Tease.

I primed my lids using Urban Decay Primer Potion and Jordana's 24 hr eyeshadow pencil in Eternal White.

1. I applied the matte white from the NYX Adorable Palette on my brow bone and inner corner.

2. I applied the matte beige from the NYX Adorable Palette on my crease.

3. I then patted Dollipop from the Sugarpill Sweet Heart Palette on the 1st half of my lid.

4. Next I patted Flamepoint from the Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette on the 2nd half of my lid.

5. I blended everything.

6. Curled my lashes and applied Too Faced's Lashgasm Mascara (my favorite mascara of the moment).

7. Lined my top lid with L'Oreal's 24 hr Infallible liner in Espresso.

8. Applied some natural lashes.

9. I applied some blush though I can't remember which one I used.

10. Finished off the look by applying the Revlon Colorburst in Tease to my lips.

MAC Osbournes

Who's excited for the Osbournes line that will be releasing this summer from MAC?

It is Osbournes as in Kelly and Sharon.

Based on the marketing pictures it looks like they might have some good stuff in store. Summer couldn't get here any faster.

Look out for the Osbournes line which release at MAC on June 14th.

NYX has released a limited edition palette based on ABC's hit show Revenge.

It is exclusive to Ulta and retails for $24.99.

I am a huge fan of NYX and as a palette collector I love themed palettes. I knew when I heard about the Revenge is Infinite Makeup Collection that I was going to have to get it.

The Revenge is Infinite Makeup Collection contains colors that represent both Emily and Victoria. It comes with 6 eyeshadows that are shimmer, matte, and pearl. It also comes with 6 lip creams that range from nude to red. Lastly it also contains  3 blush and bronzers.

Urban Decay Flushed - Native Palette

Sephora has the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Native up for sale on their site.

Native is one of the new Naked Flushed Palettes. It is part of the Urban Decay Spring 2014 collection. The shades are lighter than in the original Naked Flushed Palette.

The palette contains a blush, highlighter, and bronzer like the original Naked Flushed Palette. The palette is $30 and can be purchased at www.sephora.com.

Since Native is for lighter skin tones I think I may have to get it. Will you be getting Native or waiting for one of the other two new Naked Flushed Palettes?

Wet n Wild The Style Award Goes To Collection

Another collection for Spring 2014 is the Wet n Wild The Style Award Goes to.

It contains two 8 pan palettes and nail polishes. The 8 pan palettes look phenomenal as they always do. They are Walking the Red Carpet and Flirting at the After Party.

Walking the Red Carpet contains neutral colors with some beautiful bronze and gold shimmers whereas Flirting at the After Party is a purple palette.

These have also started popping up in stores, but I have yet to see them in my area.  If you are interested in getting them be on the lookout.

Walking the Red Carpet is a must have palette for me. Which will you be getting?

Maybelline Color Tattoos - Dare to go Nude Spring 2014 Collection

I am a huge fan of Maybelline Color Tattoos. They are one of my Holy Grail makeup products. I use them as eye bases for my eyeshadows almost daily. They work wonderfully on me and will only crease after 8+ hours.

I just found out about the Spring 2014 Collection entitled Dare to go Nude.

It contains 6 new shades, which are:

Pure Nude
Beige-ing Beauty
Nude Compliment
Sleek&Spice
Caramel Cool
Stroke of Midnight

As the name states they are all nude colors with the addition of a black, which will work wonderfully for smoky eyes.

I have yet to see them in my local Walgreens, but do know that they are limited edition and should start popping up in stores.

I know I am going to have to add them all to my makeup collection. Which ones do you have your eye on?

Silver and Blue with the tarte of Giving

This is another look that I created around the holidays using the tarte of Giving Palette.

For this look I remember the shades that I used as I only used two. Sometimes the best looks only need a couple or a few different shades.

I placed Staci's Charm Bracelet (the beautiful silver shimmer and my favorite shade in the palette) on the first half of my lid up to the crease. Then I placed Scott's skateboard on the outer half of my lid up to the crease and blended.

I finished off my look as I always do my lining my top lid and under my eye with liner, curling my lashes, and applying mascara.

This is my first tarte palette and I am very happy with it. I definitely will be purchasing more tarte palettes in the future. What is your opinion of tarte?

This palette was part of the tarte of Giving Collector's Set and Travel Bag, which was a limited edition collection for this past holiday and are no longer available for purchase at Sephora. There are some available on ebay for sale. The cheapest is $95 including shipping. Below is the link to check them out on ebay.

Neutral look using the tarte of Giving Palette

Around the holidays I created a neutral look using the tarte of Giving Palette.

I usually do different makeup looks five times a week, Monday through Friday and sometimes find it hard to keep up in posting them. I am sure many of you can relate. With that being said sometimes it is hard to remember the items that you used to create the looks.

To create this look I first applied Bianca's Coloring Book to my brow bone. Next I took Anna's Tea Set and applied it to the crease. Then if I remember correctly I took a combination of Candace's Tap Shoes and Maureen's Soccer Ball and placed them on the outer corner of my eye. I blended the shadows, lined my top lid and under my eye, curled my lashes, and applied mascara.

All of the shadows in this palette are gorgeous and it has such versatility with it's different colors and finishes. Any palette that has the ability to allow you to create a neutral look is a plus in my book as it enables you to use it for everyday.

Sugarpill Valentine's Day Bundle

Sugarpill has an adorable Valentine's Day Bundle right now.

It just so happens to include all 4 of their Vegan brushes and the limited edition loose eyeshadow Smitten.

The total cost of the bundle is $78 whereas buying the items separately would cost you $86.

The brushes and Smitten just scream Valentine's Day with all of their pink cuteness.

Star Power Formula X Nail Polish

Recently while at Sephora I decided to pick up a couple of the Formula X nail polishes. I have heard so much about them and decided I should give them a whirl.

This one is called Star Power. I would have to say that it is a minty green with silver and gold glitter. I have to admit that sometimes I am not that great at interpreting colors.

Star Power once applied has a gritty layer on top, but after a few days that sort of fades away. I found that the nail polish lasted me about a week before I had to take it off.

Pros:
Pretty Color
Long Lasting

Cons:
Hard to Remove
Pricey

Overall I am happy with this polish and could definitely see myself buying more in the future. This will most likely be when they are on sale.

Have you tried Formula X nail polish from Sephora? Thoughts?

MAC Warm Neutral - Day 2

Here is a 2nd look that I created using the Mac Warm Neutral Palette.

Brow Bone- Brule
Crease-Saddle
Lid - Divine Decadence
Outer Crease -Dance in the Dark

Have I mentioned how much I love this palette. It is such a great palette.

Have you picked up the Warm Neutral Palette from MAC?

Physicians Formula Nude Wear

Just in time for Valentine's Day Physicians Formula has come out with some items.

Nude Wear Glowing Nude Powder - $14.95

Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush - $12.95

Shimmer Strips Custom All-in-1 Nude Palette for Face & Eyes - $13.99

Sexy Booster Oh So Sexy Eyeshadow Quad - $10.95

These and other great Physicians Formula items can be found at your local drugstores or Ulta.

I am in love with the Nude Wear packaging. They are so girlie. Have you tried any of the Nude Wear items? Opinions?

Seahawks Makeup

For this past Superbowl I decided to support the Seattle Seahawks.

I decided to show my support by creating a Seahawks inspired makeup look.

Here's how I created my Seahawks inspired look:

1. I primed my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion and used NYX Infinite Shadow Stick in Crystal as my base.

2. I applied Acidberry from the Sugarpill Heart Breaker Palette onto the 1st third and the outer third of my lid up to the crease.

3. Next I applied Velocity also from the Sugarpill Heart Breaker Palette onto the middle of my lid up to the crease.

4. I blended the shadows and applied Too Faced Glitter Glue all over the eyeshadows.

5. Then I took the Sugarpill Elektro Cute Pigment in Sparkage and applied it to the Acidberry that was on the 1st third and the outer third of my lid up to the crease.

6. I then applied the Sugarpill Elektro Cute Pigment in Hellatronic and applied it to the Velocity that was on the middle of my lid up to the crease.

7. I blended the pigments.

8. I lined my top lid with e.l.f.'s Cream Liner in Black.

9. I curled my lashes and applied Too Faced's Lashgasm Mascara.

10. I then lined under the 1st third and outer third of my lid using the Cucumber Jumbo Eye Pencil from NYX and patted Sparkage on top of it to set it.

11. I lined under my eye in the middle with the Electric Blue Jumbo Eye Pencil from NYX and patted Hellatronic on top of it to set it.

12. I used the e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Bridal Party to highlight my brow bone.

I am so happy that the Seahawks won the Superbowl and the makeup definitely helped my team spirit. Who were you rooting for in the Superbowl? Did you create a team inspired look?

Valentine's Makeup

As Valentine's Day approaches so do Valentine's Day looks.

I created a Valentines Day look using the 120 Palette, 4th Edition from BH Cosmetics.

To create this look I used a pink shimmer, purple shimmer, and a white shimmer all from the palette.

I love the pink and purple combination for Valentine's Day. What colors do you like to use for Valentine's Day looks?

Tarte - Shades of Clay Collection

Tarte has a new collection called Shades of Clay. It will be featured on QVC and is $59.96.

Lorac has put together a Valentines Day Collection called Lorac Loves You.

It comes with 5 items that are perfect to create a Valentines Day look, which are:

em has two new Life Palettes for Valentine's Day.

They are the Seductress edition and the Secret Admirer edition.

The Seductress edition is inspired by romance and enables you to create sexy red lips and seductive golden eyes.
