Dress Inspiration

I am always drawn to color.

I draw inspiration for makeup looks from any and everything that catches my eye. Saturday's Face of the Day was created drawing inspiration from the butterfly dress below. The dress is gray and yellow but contains butterflies that are made up of white, purple, green, and pink.

I used my Manly 120 palette, which is technically a 144 eyeshadow palette. It contains the same top two trays that you see in any 120 eyeshadow 1st edition palette, but the 144 palette contains a bottom layer of 24 full sized eyeshadows.

These eyeshadows have been compared to the Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour Palette eyeshadows. In my opinion the Ben Nye eyeshadows are better in terms of quality and pigmentation. But they are significantly higher in price. I believe I have 4 different Manly palettes that were bought on ebay, two 80 palettes, the 144 palette, and I think a 32 palette. I don't have any major complaints with them and they do their job.

All of the Manly Palettes ship from Hong Kong or China and can be purchased from ebay. Below is the link for the cheapest one I could find. It is $29.99 + $4 for shipping if you want to check it out.

1st Fourth of the lid - Yellow Matte (3rd row, 3rd color)

2nd Fourth of the lid - Green Yellow Shimmer (4th row, 2nd color)

3rd Fourth of the lid - Purple Blue Shimmer (2nd row, 4th color)

Crease - Pink Salmon Matte (2nd row, 2nd color)

Outer Corner and outer crease - Dark Pink Shimmer (2nd row, 1st color)

Under the eye - same colors as above in the same order

Eyeliner - L'Oreal Infallible 24 Hr in Espresso
