Fall is Here - Fall Inspired Look Spiced Apple Cinnamon

Day 4 of my Fall is Here Series is a look that I have entitled Spiced Apple Cinnamon. Once you have seen the pictures you will understand why. This look consists of red, copper, and reddish brown eyeshadows which create a perfect Fall look that resembles Apple Cinnamon with spice.

Once again relying on my Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette:

I applied Chamois Nude (1st row, 1st color) to my brow bone.

After that I applied American Rose (2nd row, 4th color) to my inner lid up to the crease.

Next I applied New Penny (3rd row, 3rd color) to my middle lid up to the crease.

Lastly I applied Cherry Chocolate (3rd row, 1st color) to the outer lid up to the crease.

I applied New Penny under the 1st two thirds of the eye and  Cherry Chocolate to the outer portion on top of my Almay Intense i-color eyeliner in Brown Topaz.

I applied my favorite cream eyeliner in Espresso by L'Oreal to line the top lid.

Finally, I curled my lashes and applied benefit's They're Real Mascara.

That's all there is to achieve this Spiced Apple Cinnamon look for Fall. Initially I was a little weary about using American Rose since it is a red shade but it actually is quite pretty and doesn't give you a sickly look?

What do you think of this American Rose red eyeshadow?

Fall is Here - Fall Inspired Look, Changing Leaves

Day 3 of my Fall is Here Series is entitled Changing Leaves.

This look consists of green blended into a burgundy brownish shade which immediately reminded me of leaves changing colors.

Using my Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette:

I applied Chamois Nude (1st row, 1st color) which is a nude matte to my brow bone.

Next I applied Kiwi Green (2nd row, 2nd color) which is a pretty green gold shimmer to the first half of my lid up to the crease.

Lastly I applied Raisin Berry (3rd row, 2nd color) which is more of a burgundy color but does appear brownish to the last half of my lid up to the crease.

I applied Kiwi Green under the first half of my eye and Raisin Berry under the outer half of my eye on top of my Almay Intense i-color in Brown Topaz.

I lined my top lid with my favorite cream eyeliner by L'oreal in Espresso.

I Curled my lashes and applied benefit They're Real Mascara

I love this look for Fall I would even wear it as an everyday look.

What do you think of this color combination?

Hobby Lobby Haul

I know that jewelry and hair accessories may not be makeup, but I use them daily as inspiration for my makeup looks.

Due to this I felt the need to share some really great products that I picked up this past weekend at Hobby Lobby, which is a craft store.

I had never been in Hobby Lobby but can say hands down that I think I am addicted and can't wait until I can go back. There are so many items for any craft that you can think of. I was immediately drawn to the necklaces and earrings. So Hobby Lobby sells pendants that can be bought and turned into necklaces, earrings, and brooches amongst other things.

You can pick out chains that you would like to use to make necklaces and different earring hooks to make earrings. I picked up 4 different pendants below. Two of them I decided to pick up a matching pendant to make earrings. I picked up the blue butterfly pendant and another pendant which has roses on a blue background bought gold chains and made them into necklaces. I then picked up this awesome  chandelier pendant that looks like a peacock and knew it would make great earrings. I also picked up this cute zebra pattern pendant with bright flowers and a butterfly and thought earrings for sure.

Now onto the hair accessories. I picked up two lace headbands one in black and one in white. I picked up an animal print bandana because hey that is just cool. I was drawn to this flower clip which has an interesting pattern on it of black, white, yellow, green, and red. This can be used as a barrette in the hair or put on a headband or even worn as a brooch.

The last thing I got was a cute pack of neon flower buttons. Now the problem lies in which sweater I own that I will remove the buttons from so that I can sew these on.

I can't wait to go back to Hobby Lobby. Everything that I purchased was 50% off which made me love the store all that more. I just found it to be a great place to let your creativity flow, the possibilities are endless.

What do you think of craft stores? What types of crafts do you like?

I almost forgot to mention that you can purchase items online at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Creativity!

Wet n Wild Halloween Makeup Haul

I have been on the hunt for the e.l.f. Disney Villain Palettes which took me to my local Walgreens. Upon arriving to Walgreens I was informed that they will be released on October 5th. I didn't want my trip to be a total waste so I browsed the beauty/makeup section as a I normally do, which typically involves a specific path that I walk in the store going down each aisle, checking end caps, and finally scaling the wall.

During this ritualistic process I spotted the Wet n Wild Halloween Collection and I knew that it was game over.

Here are the items I purchased:

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Colorful Flutter Mascara in Green with Envy and Lady Luck

Sinful Colors Glow in the Dark Nail Polish

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Bewitching Eyes in Twilight and Woodland Dreams

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Glitter Palette in Fairy Flight

I am excited to use all of these products. I love Halloween for all of the interesting makeup that comes out and is created.

Have you seen these displays in your local Walgreens? If so, what items have you hauled?

Ebay 30 Eyeshadow Palette & 15 Cream Eyeshadow Palette

For the love of ebay.

I love ebay eyeshadow palettes. I have found many great palettes that are great quality and an even greater price.

Two palettes that I recently purchased are the 30 eyeshadow palette and a 15 cream eyeshadow palette. Below is a quick look that I created using both palettes.

30 Eyeshadow Palette

15 Cream Eyeshadow Palette

The 1st two pictures below are of my eyes only using the 15 cream eyeshadow palette for eye bases. I used the green on the lid (1st row, 2nd color), the yellow on the inner corner (3rd row, 2nd color), and the pink in the crease (1st row, 5th color).

The pictures below are of the final eye look using the 30 eyeshadow palette.

I applied all matte eyeshadows on the existing cream eyeshadows from the 15 eyeshadow palette that I used as bases.

Lid - Green Matte (2nd row, 3rd color, green on right side)

Inner Corner - Yellow Matte (3rd row, 1st color, yellow on left side)

Crease and under the eye - Pink Matte (1st row, 1st color, pink on the left side)

I used Starlooks Obsidian Kohl black eyeliner in to line my top lid, under my eye, and waterline.

I used benefit's They're Real Mascara and benefit's benetint on my cheeks.

As you can see from the pictures the eyeshadows from the 30 palette are very pigmented. My only concern thus far regarding the palettes is the 15 cream eyeshadow palette. I mentioned this in a previous post but I feel that they are kind of greasy for me due to the fact that I have oily lids and creasing will definitely happen. I haven't yet tried them again with a primer underneath, but I still think they will crease even when blended out.

Do you have either of these palettes? Opinions?

Fall is Here - Fall Inspired Look, Neutral Look

Day 2 of my Fall is Here Series.

This look is a Fall Inspired neutral look. It was also created with the Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette as the Pumpkin Spice look and the rest of the looks that will be created.

To create this look:

Apply Chamois Nude (1st row, 1st color) to the brow bone.

Next apply Light Apricot (1st row, 4th color) to the eyelid.

Lastly apply Raisin Berry (3rd row, 2nd color) to the crease and outer corner.

Blend everything, apply your favorite eyeliner to the top of your lid and under your eye.

Pat Raisin Berry on top of the eyeliner under your eye to set it, curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara.

That's it! You now have an easy 3 step neutral eye look for Fall using Coastal Scent's Fall Festival Palette.

It seems like neutral looks are perfect for Fall. What do you think?

Fall is Here - Fall Inspired Look, Purple?

We have reached that point. The final day in my Fall is Here Series.

I have entitled this look Purple? In case you are wondering what that is about it's because there is a color in the palette with the name Regalia Purple. Never in my wildest dreams would I have associated the color purple with Fall. I am still racking my brain trying to figure out what is purple for Fall. I am taking suggetstions if you have any :)

Here's how to create a "Purple?" Fall look using the Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette:

Apply Chamois Nude to your brow bone

Next apply Light Apricot to the inner corner of your eye

Apply Regalia Purple to your lid

Lastly apply Cherry Chocolate to your outer crease and outer corner

Blend away

Line your top lid with your favorite cream/gel eyeliner

Line under your eye with your favorite pencil eyeliner and set it with Regalia Purple

Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara

Knowing that all good things must come to an end I was a little sad knowing that my Fall is Here series is over. This in no way means that I won't be creating Fall looks. Heck I am a rebel and will create Fall looks year round. The truth is that I am just sad that I have to put my Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette aside so that I may focus on other palettes and eye looks. Thus is the dilemma in Makeupland, so much makeup and not enough time to use it all

What was your favorite look in my Fall is Here series? Did you give in and purchase the Fall Festival Palete? Have you thought of anything purple for Fall?

Ipsy Glam Bag - September

Ipsy has done it again for the month of September.

I am very pleased with the contents of my September Glam Bag. I continue to feel that signing up for Ipsy was a good choice.

For my September Glam Bag I received the following items:

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

Starlooks Obsidian Kohl Eyeliner

Elizabeth Mott It's so Big Mascara

Pop Pouty Pop Crayon in Rose Romance

NYX Single Eyeshadow in Golden Poppy

My thoughts on the products:

I have yet to use the Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels and typically don't have problems with under eye puffiness. Who knows how it will work unless you try it, right? The jury is still out on this one.

The Starlooks Obsidian Kohl Eyeliner I have used once and seemed to work as a Kohl eyeliner pencil normally would. You can never have too many eyeliners so this finds a nice home amongst all the rest of my eyeliners.

I have never heard of or used any Elizabeth Mott products before, but I love receiving sample sized mascaras. They usually last me a month and make it possible for me to try different mascaras before I cave in and spend the money on a full sized mascara.

I have never used in Pop Beauty products before but have always wanted to. I love the color of the Rose Romance Lip pencil and just like the eyeliner you can never have too many lip products.

Last but definitely not least is the NYX single eyeshadow in Golden Poppy. I love NYX products and am very familiar with them. I have many NYX products including eyeshadow palettes, but no single eyeshadows. I love the Golden Poppy shade and feel that it is going to make a great brow bone or inner corner shade.

Thanks again Ipsy you have made another happy customer yet again. For those of you that have Ipsy, what products did you receive? Thoughts on them? If you haven't heard of Ipsy you can check it out at http://www.ipsy.com

Fall is Here - Fall Inspired Look, Pumpkin Spice

It comes as no surprise that Fall is one of my favorite seasons since I mentioned it recently in my Autumn Tag post.

What can I say? I am a sucker for Fall. I love the weather, the holidays, the food, the family gatherings, pumpkins, apples, the wind, leaves changing color, and so on and so forth.

With the coming of Fall comes yellows, golds, oranges, reds, and browns.

Also it may be time to dust off some of those Fall makeup palettes and put them back in the makeup rotation. My favorite Fall palette is the Fall Festival Palette from Coastal Scents. I don't know if it's just me, but I love themed makeup palettes be it seasons, colors, character inspired, I just like them. To me it offers inspiration in one handy location.

Back to my beloved Fall Festival Palette and beloved it is. It contains mainly shimmery eyeshadows that are highly pigmented. If you are interested in purchasing the palette it is $12.95 from Coastal Scents. Below is the direct link too purchase the palette:

http://www.coastalscents.com/makeup/eyes/eye-palettes/pl-hp-002.html

To kickoff the start of Fall I have decided to use this palette all week for my Fall is Here Series. This is the first look in my series entitled Pumpkin Spice. Keep reading to find out how to recreate this look:

I started off my priming my lids with UD Primer Potion and I then applied Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Barely Beige as a base on the lid.

I applied Chamois Nude (1st row, 1st color) on my brow bone.

Next I applied Deep Cantaloupe (2nd row, 2nd color) to the first 3rd of my lid up to the crease.

Then I applied Bright Copper (1st row, 2nd color) to the middle of my lid up to my crease.

Finally I applied Cherry Chocolate (3rd row, 1st color) to the outer corner of my lid and outer crease.

Then just when I thought I was done I blended, blended, blended, applied some more color, and blended some more.

I curled my lashes and applied They're Real Mascara by benefit.

I lined my top lid with L'oreal's Infallible 24 Hr Cream Eyeliner in Espresso.

I lined my bottom lash line with Almay's Intense i-color in Brown Topaz and applied the shadows from the lid in the same order under the eye.

I love this look for Fall. What's your favorite color combination for Fall looks? Have you heard of the Fall Festival Palette from Coastal Scents?

Hautelook Crown Brush Haul

Recently Hautelook had a $10 deal on a Crown Brush set.

I did a blog post initially when I heard of the sale and at that time I picked mine up. The total cost was around $16 including shipping.

The set includes the following:

36 Color Smokey Eyeshadow Palette - All the eyeshadows are shimmer

12 Brush Set - Includes eye and face brushes

Pack of sponge wedges

Black eyeliner

Set of 4 Kabuki brushes

White Hautelook makeup bag

I haven't yet gotten around to using any of the items, but I do have other palettes from Crown Brush that I am happy with. I am excited to try out their brushes as I have never tried them.

If you missed out on this sale, don't worry they always have different sales for Crown Brush on Hautelook. For $10 though I think this is a great deal you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Was anybody else able to pick this set up? Have you tried any of their brushes? What are your thoughts?
