theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette

Today I met Matte.

It wasn't so bad.

I usually am more fond of shimmer, but was actually quite impressed with the matte eyeshadows in theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette. This palette is comprised of all matte shadows that also happen to be nude eyeshadows.

I found these eyeshadows to be of good quality just like the eyeshadows in theBalm Nude'tude Palette. They were pigmented and very blendable. I also didn't notice any fallout with the shadows.  I recommend this palette as a must have for any makeup collection due to the fact that any makeup collection wouldn't be complete without a good range of matte nude shadows. These are a necessity when you want to even out an eye look so that it doesn't solely consist of shimmer. If you can't tell I am very pleased with this palette.

Here's how I created today's Matte look:

All over the eye from brow bone to lash line - Matt Malloy (White Matte)

Crease - Matt Rosen ( Light Brown Matte)

Lid - Matt Singh ( Light Pink Matte)

Outer crease, outer corner, & under the eye - Matt Garcia (Reddish Brown Matte)

Typically I will always use a base for my eyeshadow over my primer, which is usually a Maybelline Color Tattoo. Today I chose to just use Urban Decay Primer potion to really achieve a Matte look.

Eyeliner on top of the lid - L'oreal Infallible 24 hr in Espresso

Eyeliner under the eye - Almay intense i-color in Brown Topaz

Mascara - Covergirl Lash Blast Volume

Blush - NYX Mosaic Powder in Dare

In closing out this post I must admit that it was in honor to meet Matt(e). Have you had the honoring of meeting Matt(e)?
