Maycheer Color Song Eyeshadow Palette

Maycheer. Granted it may not be May, but cheer was an emotion brought on by using this palette. I have had this palette for at least a year and have barely even looked at it. I know that is truly sad considering that this palette contains great quality eyeshadows and probably doesn't get the exposure it deserves. Some makeup items tend to get overlooked sometimes when you become a collector of all things makeup. Thus one of the reasons I wanted to start a makeup blog. I get to use more makeup than I normally would and am able to share it with you.

The Maycheer Color Song Eyeshadow Palette is a palette that comes from Hong Kong, at least that is where I got mine. I ordered the palette from ebay, but can't remember how much I paid for it. I know for sure that it was under $20 including shipping. I will check out ebay and see what they are going for and will update this post.

As I mentioned I have had this palette for at least a year. Today was actually my first time ever using this palette and I wish that I would have used it sooner and now I have to make it a point to incorporate it more into my makeup items that I use routinely. The Maycheer Palette comes with 28 shimmer eyeshadows. The eyeshadows come in a variety of colors. They are intensely pigmented. They are soft, smooth, and blend easily and did I mention vibrant and very stunning. I noticed after all day wear of about 10 hours that I only had slight creasing (this is with UD primer potion and a Maybelline Color Tattoo). At this time I have no negative comments about this palette. After today's use of the palette I would say these eyeshadows are somewhat comparable to Urban Decay based on texture and longevity.

Today's Face of the Day is entitled:

Perfect in Purple

Here is how to achieve this look:

Maycheer Color Song Eyeshadow Palette

Brow Bone - White Shimmer (01)

Crease - Reddish Brown Shimmer (23)

1st third of the lid - Pink Gold Shimmer (15)

Outer crease, outer corner, and under the eye - Purple Shimmer (3)

Eyeliner on top of lid - L'oreal Infallible 24 hr eyeliner in Espresso

Eyeliner under the eye - Almay Brown Topaz

Blush - e.l.f. Studio Blush in Peachy Keen

Mascara - Covergirl Lash Blast Volume

I forgot to mention, but as you can see above the eyeshadows are numbered. This is great because it is an easy way to refer to an eyeshadow to convey which one was used.

Have you heard of Maycheer before?
