One of the packages that I received contained the new 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils from Jordana Cosmetics. Once I saw these I knew that I had to try them.
I love eyeshadow pencils and am always on the hunt for the perfect eyeshadow pencil or as I like to refer to it as the Holy Grail of makeup. This would be the eyeshadow pencil that lasts the longest, is pigmented, won't crease, and will enable my eyeshadows to pop. Ok so maybe this doesn't exist but I am aiming for pretty close to this. I will settle for long lasting, at least 8 hrs, preferably 10. Of course is pigmented, helps my eyeshadows pop and won't crease for at least 8-10 hrs so that my makeup can look like perfection through a full work day.
The reason I have an obsession with eyeshadow pencils is because they can be used as eyeshadow bases or as eyeliners, be it the top lid or under the eye. The most important reason for the obsession is that they really change the way an eyeshadow looks and can take the most poorest of eyeshadows and give them their moment to shine.
The 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils by Jordana Cosmetics come in 8 shades. I ordered the 6 I knew I would get the most use out of. They are:
01 - Eternal White (White Matte)
02 - Stay-on Black (Black Matte)
03 - Tenacious Brown (Brown Matte)
04 - Continuous Almond (Almond/Beige Matte)
05 - Pink Evermore (Pink Shimmer with Silver Glitter)
08 - Endless Emerald (Emerald Shimmer with Silver Glitter)
Just based on first impressions these remind me of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils. The only difference is that the majority of these seem to be matte and honestly seem longer lasting based on my swatches. Only time will tell...

I wanted to test the staying power of these puppies so I applied them and waited about 10 minutes. I took a tissue and rubbed the swatches about 10 times in an attempt to remove them. As you can see the swatches smudged and the silver glitter from the last two transferred to the other colors, but they still stayed on. I tried another 10 times and the same thing. I then took soap and water and scrubbed my arm and after a couple of minutes they all came off except for Stay-on Black and Endless Emerald. They are the darkest colors so the are most pigmented and still left some remnants of color on my arm.
After my experiment I am excited to use these and really put them to the test under eyeshadow and as eyeliner.
What do you think of these? Promising?
