Sigma Beauty Creme De Couture Palette - 1st Look

Today felt like Christmas!

First I get the Jordana Cosmetics 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils and then I get the new Limited Edition Sigma Beauty Creme De Couture Palette!!!

The Creme De Couture was on presale on August 26th on Sigma's website via special invitation when you register on their website. When I first got wind this palette was going to be released via Instagram I registered on Sigma's website so fast and anxiously awaited my invitation email. I know it' silly but I really am passionate about makeup. I feel that it helps you express yourself and I love sharing my joy, knowledge, and inspiration with others as I enjoy theirs in return.

Now on to the palette...

The Creme De Couture Palette is inspired by Macaroons. Yummy! The 16 eyeshadows are all pastel mattes with delectable names. The palette retails for $32. I am able to still purchase the palette again from the invitation email, but am unsure if you register at now if you will get the email, but it's worth a try if you want the palette now. Otherwise it will be launched in September.

Jordana Cosmetics 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils - 1st Look & Swatches

Today couldn't have been a better day. I received two packages in the mail, which always brightens up my day.

One of the packages that I received contained the new 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils from Jordana Cosmetics. Once I saw these I knew that I had to try them.

I love eyeshadow pencils and am always on the hunt for the perfect eyeshadow pencil or as I like to refer to it as the Holy Grail of makeup. This would be the eyeshadow pencil that lasts the longest, is pigmented, won't crease, and will enable my eyeshadows to pop. Ok so maybe this doesn't exist but I am aiming for pretty close to this. I will settle for long lasting, at least 8 hrs, preferably 10. Of course is pigmented, helps my eyeshadows pop and won't crease for at least 8-10 hrs so that my makeup can look like perfection through a full work day.

The reason I have an obsession with eyeshadow pencils is because they can be used as eyeshadow bases or as eyeliners, be it the top lid or under the eye. The most important reason for the obsession is that they really change the way an eyeshadow looks and can take the most poorest of eyeshadows and give them their moment to shine.

The 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils by Jordana Cosmetics come in 8 shades. I ordered the 6 I knew I would get the most use out of. They are:

01 - Eternal White (White Matte)
02 - Stay-on Black (Black Matte)
03 - Tenacious Brown (Brown Matte)
04 - Continuous Almond (Almond/Beige Matte)
05 - Pink Evermore (Pink Shimmer with Silver Glitter)
08 - Endless Emerald (Emerald Shimmer with Silver Glitter)

Just based on first impressions these remind me of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils. The only difference is that the majority of these seem to be matte and honestly seem longer lasting based on my swatches. Only time will tell...

I wanted to test the staying power of these puppies so I applied them and waited about 10 minutes. I took a tissue and rubbed the swatches about 10 times in an attempt to remove them. As you can see the swatches smudged and the silver glitter from the last two transferred to the other colors, but they still stayed on. I tried another 10 times and the same thing. I then took soap and water and scrubbed my arm and after a couple of minutes they all came off except for Stay-on Black and Endless Emerald. They are the darkest colors so the are most pigmented and still left some remnants of color on my arm.

After my experiment I am excited to use these and really put them to the test under eyeshadow and as eyeliner.

What do you think of these? Promising?

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette & Rebel Rocker

Oops look like I had accidentally published this blog post before it was ready. I noticed it was published, but only with pictures. Sheesh it has been a long, busy week...

If you noticed that I didn't post a face of the day yesterday that is because this is actually yesterday's Face of the Day. This is the third look using the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette and the How to Glamour Guide that comes with the palette. It is called Rebel Rocker. I am happy with how this look came out as I am with the other two looks I recreated using this palette.

My only gripe about this look is that Miss Sparkles didn't want to play nice. Miss Sparkles is the black matte with silver glitter. That eyeshadow was all over my face, fallout city. You can see in the first picture below that under my eye in the inner corner there is redness, well that was caused by the culprit Miss Sparkles. No biggie. I just looked like I walked through soot. Nothing a little makeup remover wouldn't fix.

Here is how I created the Rebel Rocker look:

Brow Bone and above crease - Dainty (Pinkish Cream Matte)

Lid, inner corner, and tear duct - Jailbird (Silver Shimmer)

Crease and above crease - Charming - (Brown Matte)

Eyeliner on top of lid and under the eye - Miss Sparkles (Black Matte with Silver Glitter)

Blush - BH Cosmetics Floral Blush Duo in Daisy

Mascara - Covergirl Lash Blast Volume

In closing out the Pretty Rebel series, here are my final thoughts on the palette:

-Like it, love it, need it

-Insanely pigmented

-Blends easily

-Versatility in color and finish

- Long lasting

I give Too Faced an A+ on the Pretty Rebel Palette!!!

Have you created any looks from the How to Glamour Guide for the Pretty Rebel Palette? If you have I would love to see them :)
