I experienced the latter. My go to eyeliner has always been pencil liner. I finally ventured into gel/cream liners about 2 years ago. Now I feel like it's time for the next step in eyeliner which is liquid.
I definitely feel like you have to give credit where credit is due. If you are one of those people who are pros with the liquid eyeliner I commend you. Being able to apply liquid eyeliner correctly is an art form. The brushes are narrow and you have to have a steady hand otherwise you will get eyeliner everywhere.
So I have been experimenting with liquid eyeliner for about a week now and to complicate matters even more I have been working on winged liner. Correction I have been attempting winged liner.
Since my blog is entitled My Life in Makeup Land and I always show the looks I create everyday I figured it's only fair to show the bad with the good. As you can see from the pictures below the liner is thicker in some areas.
The eyeshadow palette that I chose to use today is by Forever 21. It is a Love and Beauty Palette. It contains 21 eyeshadows that are all neutral. Some are matte but most are shimmer. They have good pigmentation, are long lasting, and are comparable to drug store makeup. The shimmers are very pretty and some look as though they may be dupes for Urban Decay's Naked or Naked 2 eyeshadows.
Today's Face of the Day was created using the following:
Brow Bone & Inner Corner - White Shimmer (1st row, 1st color)
Lid - Champagne Shimmer (1st row, 3rd color)
Crease - Light Brown Matte (3rd row, 2nd color)
Outer Corner - Dark Brown Shimmer (2nd row, 6th color)
Under the Eye - Pinkish Brown Shimmer (2nd row, 4th color)
Eyeliner on top of the Lid - LA Splash Liquid Liner in Merlot
Eyeliner under the Eye - Revlon Bronze Flash
