Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour Palette & Chartreuse

Chartreuse is an interesting word and an even more interesting color. It's origin is French and it is a color that is comprised of 50% green and 50% yellow. It derives its name from a French liqueur by the name of Green Chartreuse.

It is the name of an eyeshadow in the Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour Palette. It is a unique and beautiful color that really is half green and half yellow and rightly named Chartreuse. It is also the main focus in today's Face of the Day.

As I have mentioned in a couple previous blog posts, I really love the Ben Nye Grande Colour Palette and have been using it since this past weekend. I figure I might as well finish out the week with it. This way I am able to create different looks with the various eyeshadows in the palette and show the quality of the shadows.

At this point I still have nothing but praises for this palette. The shadows are so shimmery and flattering and I really noticed today that they blend quite seamlessly.

Today's Face of the Day was created using the following:

Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour Palette

Brow Bone - e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Bridal Party

1st  half of the Lid & Inner Corner - Ice (white shimmer)

1st half of the Crease & Under the Eye - Iced Gold (white gold shimmer)

2nd half of the Lid & 2nd half of the Crease - Chartreuse (green yellow shimmer)

Eyeliner on top of Lid - e.l.f. Liquid Liner in Black

Eyeliner under the Eye - Almay intense i-color in Brown Topaz

Mascara - Covergirl Lash Blast Volume

Blush - e.l.f. Baked Blush in Pinktastic

I quite like this Chartreuse eyeshadow. It is very unique and the color pops like crazy. This is definitely an attention seeking eyeshadow.

Chartreuse. Love it or leave it?
