Urban Decay Naked Palette

Just call me a rebel. I like to live life on the edge. I actually bought Urban Decay's Naked Palette about a year after I purchased the Naked 2 Palette. The truth is the average person probably doesn't need both palettes, but who wants to be average?

There was a lot of hype centered around the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. My curiosity was getting the better of me so I researched the palette online an even paid it a visit at Sephora. The palette is $50 which can be a pretty big hit for any item at one time. I saw the palette as an investment in my beauty future and so you can guess what I did next. Yes I bought the palette. Let's face it the palette really is worth the price, the shadows are great for everyday, and they are just downright beautiful ( I even had James Blunt's song Beautiful running through my head).

Now this brings us to the Naked Palette. Well I purchased it for the same reasons that I purchased the Naked 2 Palette. Honestly I bought it because my Naked 2 Palette was lonely and needed a friend. Ok seriously I bought it because I had a gift card and I believe the palette chose me. I am a collector of makeup and felt I needed it for my colossal collection.

Believe it or not I have had the palette since Christmas and today's the first day I used it. I know tsk, tsk, but I have a lot of makeup and sometimes forget what I have. In comparing these two palettes the Naked Palette has more taupe like colors whereas the Naked 2 Palette has more bronze like colors. Both palettes contain 12 beautiful shadows, they are matte and shimmer, and they are by Urban Decay so you know they are awesome.

Today's Face of the Day was created using the following:

Urban Decay's Naked Palette

Virgin - Brow Bone & Inner Corner
Sidecar - Lid & Under the Eye
Buck - Crease
Naked - To Blend out the Crease

Which Naked Palette do you prefer?
