FASH 80 Eyeshadow Palette & Candy Corn

I know what you're thinking. What does an eyeshadow palette have to do with candy corn? Well I am glad you asked because I ended up creating a look today that is candy corn inspired. It was created using my FASH 80 Eyeshadow Palette (hence the connection).

I decided to use this palette so that it wouldn't feel left out. I have had this palette for about a year now and have only used it a handful of times. The pictures I posted of my palette are deceiving. The truth is when I ordered it from Amazon it arrived broken. To make a long story short the only solution was to refund my money. I am like a kid with candy you can't give me my palette and then take it away. I attempted to try my hand at pressing the shadows and failed miserably.

Now on to the good stuff the palette itself. The palette contains a mix of matte and shimmer shadows. Overall the pigmentation of the shadows is decent with the shimmers dominating the mattes. The shadows are extremely soft and blend easily. The palette contains mattes and shimmers in each shade from orange to purple. Browns, white, black, silver, and gold also make an appearance in this palette.

Currently this palette is available on amazon.com and fashlimited.com and is on sale for $12.99 (this is a great deal since I paid around $30 with shipping). It can also be purchased on ebay and is listed as an 80 Wave Eyeshadow Palette, but typically it is shipped from China or Hong Kong.

Now back to candy corn. When I opened the palette I was instantly drawn to the shimmery white and gold. The rest is history and become a yummy Halloween treat inspired look.

Today's Face of the Day was created using the following:

FASH 80 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Brow Bone - Matte White (1st tray, 1st row, 4th color)

1st third of the Lid - Shimmer White (2nd tray, 2nd row, 4th color)

Middle of the Lid - Shimmer Gold ( 2nd tray, 2nd row, 3rd color)

Outer Corner - Shimmer Orange Bronze (1st tray, 1st row, 5th color)

Under the Lid - Same shimmer colors as above applied in the same order (all shimmer white, gold, orange bronze).

Candy corn anyone?
