Mini Wet n Wild Holiday Haul

A couple of weeks ago I was at my local Walgreens and spotted some of the Wet n Wild Holiday Palettes.

I picked up two of them. The Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Medley in No Neutral Ground and the Wet n Wild Color Icon Face Glitter Trio in I'm not a Blonde Glitz! Both of these palettes are absolutely gorgeous.

The No Neutral Ground Palette is a neutral palette that contains 3 eyeshadows, 3 glitter shadow top coats, and two liner shades. The eyeshadows are a lavender shimmer with silver sparkle, a beige shimmer with silver sparkle, and a olive green shimmer with silver sparkle. The top glitter shades are a pink, cream, and a beige. These look very pretty when applied on top of any other shadows. The liner shades are a brown matte and a emerald green shimmer with silver sparkle.

The I'm Not a Blonde Glitz! Palette is a glitter cream palette. The shades are a multicolored silver, a rust, and a gold. These are hard to use directly on the eyes especially when picking up the cream part of the shadows. An alternate way to use these is to just pick up the glitter and apply it over a good glitter base as you would any other glitter. Another way would be to use them on the face or body anywhere that you would like to add some sparkle. Both of these palettes are very affordable between $3-$6 each.

If you are unable to find these palettes anymore I recommend searching on ebay. It is always a good way to find limited edition or hard to find items.

Do you have any of these Wet n Wild Holiday Palettes?

e.l.f. Geometric Holiday Palette

For the holiday season, e.l.f. had a lot of great gift sets.

One of the ones that I picked up at my local Walgreens for $10 was the Modern Eyes Set. It contained a 32 Geometric Palette, a mascara, a back liquid eyeliner, and two makeup brushes.

I created a neutral look using the palette. I used a shimmer brown on the lid, a beige matte in the crease, and lined under my eye with the olive green.

e.l.f. shadows are sometimes not that pigmented but can have great staying power and be built up when using a great eye primer and eye base. My go to eye primer is almost always Urban Decay Primer Potion and my eye base is either Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Barely Beige or Jordana's 24 HR Eye Pencil in Eternal White. I can guarantee you if you try a combination of a good primer and base you will notice a difference with e.l.f. shadows.

Did you pick up any e.l.f. gift sets this holiday season?

Because the 120 Palette, 5th Edition Never Gets Old

The 120 Palette, 5th Edition by BH Cosmetics is one of my favorite 120 palettes next to the 4th edition.

This is a great everyday palette that never gets old with it's neutrals. For this look I used a combination of two browns. I shimmer for the lid and a matte for the crease. This is a simple look that can be created rather quickly and worn as an everyday look.

Have you tried this palette yet?

Ipsy Glam Bag - November

Better late than never.

The November Glam Bag has to be my favorite Glam Bag that I have received since being an Ipsy member. I have been so busy that I completely forgot to post this. The theme for November's Bag was Glam it Up.

For my November Glam Bag I received the following items:

Nailtini Nail Polish in Caviar Cocktail

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Shameless

Kiss Ever EZ Lashes

Pixi Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched

Starlooks Gem Pencil in Amethyst

em Waterliner in Black Olive

I must confess that I haven't gotten around to using all of the items yet, but so far I am impressed with them.

The Nailtini Nail Polish is great. Caviar Cocktail is a pretty color. The nail polish applies smoothly and lasted about a week on me before chipping.

The Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Shameless is a reddish pink color with silver sparkles. It is very pretty color.

I haven't yet used the Kiss lashes but am excited to try them. They come with an easy to use applicator to apply them which should be a nice substitution to tweezers.

The Pixi Bronzer in Suntouched is a nice bronzer that is light, which works well for someone who has a light complexion like me.

The Starlooks Gem Pencil in Amethyst I have used and I like it. It is a lavender eyeliner with silver glitter.

The em Waterliner in Black Olive is a black eyeliner with green mixed in it that works as an eyeliner or waterliner. The color stays on the waterline pretty well.

Finally the gold snake skin wristlet is so adorable with its pink lining.

One of my favorite bags hands down.

Did you get any of the same items in your November Glam Bag?

After Christmas and New Year's Sales

Some of the many sales that have been announced for after Christmas and New Year's.

Have you seen any other good sales?

Christmas Makeup

For Christmas Day I decided to do my makeup with more of a neutral look. Especially since for Christmas Eve I went more festive with my Silver and Green.

For my Christmas look I used two palettes, which were the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette and the Too Faced Joy to the Girls Palette.

Here's how I created my Christmas look:

I primed my lids with UDPP and applied my Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eye Pencil in Eternal White as my base.

I then used my Too Faced Joy to the Girls Palette and applied Snow Angel (Matte Light Cream) to my Brow Bone.

Next I applied Cookie Dough (Light Matte Brown) to my Crease.

I then applied Sugar Plum (Purple Shimmer with Silver Glitter) my favorite shade from this palette to my Crease.

I used Chimney (Slate Gray Shimmer) on my lid.

Then I used ShellShock (Silver Shimmer with Silver Glitter) from my Vice 2 Palette and patted it on top of my lid.

I applied e.l.f.Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Confetti (White) to my Inner Corner.

I curled my lashes and applied Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

I lined my top lid with L'Oreal's 24 HR. Infallible Cream Liner in Espresso.

Under my eyes I used Almay's Eyeliner in Brown Topaz and patted Sugar Plum on top of it.

The result is the makeup I wore on Christmas Day displayed in the pictures below.

How did you do your makeup for Christmas Day?

I know this post is late, but I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Christmas Eve Makeup

On Christmas Eve I decided to wear a silver and green look. I chose my Urban Decay Vice 2 palette to create this look. Here's how to create my festive look:

Prime your lids with your favorite primer. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Next apply your favorite eye base. For this look I wanted it to be very shimmery so I used Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Barely Beige.

Brow Bone - e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Bridal Party (White Shimmer)

Crease - Habit (Beige Matte)

1st Half of the Lid up to the Crease - ShellShock - (Silver Shimmer)

Outer Lid and Outer Crease - Damaged (Dark Green Shimmer)

Apply your favorite mascara. I stuck with the Urban Decay theme and used my Urban Decay Supercurling Mascara.

Line your top lid and under your eye with your favorite liner. I used L'Oreal's Infallible 24 Hr. Cream Eyeliner in Espresso for the top lid. Under the eye I used my Almay Brown Topaz Liner. I then patted Damaged over my liner under my eye and put Shellshock in the inner portion under the eye.

That's it! You now have a Silver and Green Festive Holiday Look.

What color combinations do you like using for the holidays?

Nicka K Nail Polish

One of the items I received in my Ipsy December Glam Bag was a nail polish by Nicka K.

I have heard the name Nicka K but have never used any items by the brand before.

The nail polish that I received is a red that is perfect for the holidays. The only downside of the nail polish is that it actually doesn't contain a name. This makes it hard to refer to the color. It is known only as red based on my obvious observation.

The nail polish itself glides on smoothly and appeared to dry quickly. I would recommend using a top coat with this polish as mine appeared to chip after a couple of days. This picture was taken after a couple of days since I forgot to take it right away, but you can see the color of the polish in the picture.

I would probably use Nicka K polishes again.

Did you get a Nicka K polish in your Ipsy December Glam Bag? Thoughts?

Laura Mercier Flawless Classics Set

About a month ago at Sephora, I traded in 500 beauty points for the Laura Mercier Flawless Classics Set.

I have never tried anything from Laura Mercier so figured now would be as good of a time as any.

The Flawless Classics set comes with 6 sample sized items.

Flawless Skin Face Polish - Gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin.

Foundation Primer - Creates a smooth foundation for makeup.

Tinted Moisturizer - Contains SPF 20 and provides coverage with a hint of color.

Invisible Loose Setting Powder & Fan Brush - Sets makeup.

Lip Glace in Rose - Shiny, Glossy Lip Gloss.

This is a very good way to try out different items by Laura Mercier without spending a penny. If you find that you like any of these items you can then purchase the full sized items. So far, I am loving all of the products and love that Sephora allows you to accumulate points based on your purchases that can later be redeemed for other items.

Have you tried any of Laura Mercier's Flawless Classics items or any other items by Laura Mercier?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette - 1st Look

On Friday I received an early Christmas present from the mailman.

It was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. The one that smells like chocolate and it's made with real cocoa.

Here is a first look as I haven't yet used the palette.

I received two free items with my Too Faced order which are a Tinted Beauty Balm and a Lip Primer.

The palette comes in sturdy packaging which looks like a candy bar. So cute! Then again Too Faced usually always has cute packaging which comes with cute names. The Chocolate Bar palette follows tradition by having cute names too.

Gilded Ganache
White Chocolate
Milk Chocolate
Black Forest Truffle
Triple Fudge
Salted Caramel
Marzipan
Semi-Sweet
Strawberry Bon-Bon
Candied Violet
Amaretto
Hazelnut
Creme Brulee
Haute Chocolate
Cherry Cordial
Champagne Truffle

The shadows look very pigmented as most Too Faced shadows are. This is mainly a neutral palette, but it does contain some purples and burgundies. The palette contains 16 eyeshadows, two of which are highlight shades that are much larger.

The palette also contains the typical How to Glamour Guide which shows you step by step how to create 3 eye looks using this palette.

This palette does smell like chocolate but I think the scent is mild and not overpowering. Have you gotten this palette? Thoughts?

Christmas Ulta Haul

I went by Ulta last night and picked up some goodies for Christmas.

I actually went in there on a mission. I was looking for the Lorac Pro Palette (which seems to be sold out everywhere) and the Lorac Unzipped Palette.

Well, I found the Lorac Unzipped Palette, but the only Pro Palette was the display.

I ended up picking up:

NYX Nude on Nude Palette
NYX Wicked Dreams Palette
Lorac Unzipped Palette
Essence Sparkling Effect Eyeshadows in Dance all Night & Starlight
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp
NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair

I was disappointed to find the Lorac Pro Palette, Cargo Palette, and the NYX Butt Naked Turn the other Cheek Palette all sold out. Maybe after Christmas?

What makeup goodies are you planning on getting for Christmas?

Smashbox Full Exposure - Day 2

It is official, Smashbox's Full Exposure Palette has become one of my favorite palettes.

It is such a versatile neutral palette with it's matte and shimmer shades. I used it for my makeup of the day again.

For this look I used the taupe shades.

Brow Bone - Cream Matte (2nd row, 4th color)

Crease - Light Taupe Matte (2nd row, 5th color)

Lid - Taupe Shimmer (1st row, 6th color)

Outer Corner and Outer Lid - Dark Taupe Matte (2nd row, 6th color)

I used the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara and e.l.f. liquid eyeliner in black.

I believe this palette is still available at Sephora.

Coastal Scents Kabuki on a Stick

Coastal Scents announced the re-release of their Kabuki on a Stick.

I have never seen or tried this, but it looks kind of interesting, especially for $4.95.

Have you ever tried a Kabuki on a Stick? How does it compare to a regular Kabuki?

Sephora + Pantone Universe Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick

One of the perks to being a VIB Rouge member at Sephora is getting exclusive offers.

I received my first today since becoming a VIB member. Everyone already knows that the Pantone color of 2014 is Radiant Orchid, right?

To celebrate Radiant Orchid, Sephora released the Sephora + Pantone Universe Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick. Sounds great, right?

Well I received an email from Sephora at 9:30 informing me of its release. The email stated the lipstick was exclusive to VIB Rouge members, limited edition, online only, an that there are only 200 available. It retails for $18.

I went to Sephora's website thinking I was going to purchase it and found out it is sold out. Let's just say this ruined my Thursday.

If you are a VIB Rouge member, were you able to get your hands on one?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is here!

Sephora released the the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette today. Get yours at www.sephora.com or in Sephora stores. The price is $49.

Smashbox Full Exposure - Eyes of the Day

I received the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette yesterday in the mail. I couldn't wait any longer to use it. Here are Today's Eyes of the Day.

I applied the cream matte (2nd row, 4th color) to my brow bone.

Next I applied the brown matte (2nd row, 2nd color) to my crease.

I applied the brown shimmer (1st row, 2nd color) to my lid.

Then I applied the dark brown matte (2nd row, 1st color) to my outer corner.

Lastly, I applied the cream shimmer (1st row, 4th color) to my inner corner.

I used the Full Exposure Mascara and lined the top of my lid with a brown cream liner.

I finished off the look lining under my eyes with a brown liner which I set with the dark brown shimmer (1st row, 1st color).

My verdict on the palette? Guilty of being a great palette. This entails, great pigmentation, easy blendability, long lasting power, and smooth application.

This has become one of my favorite palette after one use. It is up there with my Naked 3 Palette.

If you haven't tried this palette, I highly recommend it especially if you are a neutral lover.

Smashbox Full Exposure Palette - 1st Look

When I first saw the Smashbox Full Exposure on Sephora's website I thought what a cute palette, but it is a neutral palette and I have so many.

This was a couple of weeks ago.

Recently I had my VIB coupon for $20 off and I was browsing Sephora so ready to buy the Lorac Pro Palette. To my surprise it was sold out. I then thought ok I will just buy the Lorac Unzipped Palette. Surprise! That was also sold out.

I browsed the rest of the palettes and kept coming back to the Full Exposure Palette from Smashbox. I finally gave in and decided to buy it because I figured $30 for the palette was a great deal. Also I have never used in Smashbox items.

Once I received the palette and opened it up I was instantly blown away by the gorgeousness of this palette. Pictures can not do it justice. It contains 14 eyeshadows. The top row contains all shimmer eyeshadows and the bottom row contains all mattes.

The shimmers are absolutely beautiful, truly unlike any other shimmer eyeshadows I have ever seen. The mattes look buttery smooth. The palette comes in sturdy black packaging and comes with a Full Exposure sample mascara. The palette also comes with a How to Guide for different eye shapes.

Like I said I have many neutral palettes, but I am happily adding this to my collection based on the diversity of the palette and the gorgeous shimmers.

Do you have this palette? Thoughts?

Another Dollar Tree Haul

Last time I was at the Dollar Tree I picked up two pairs of false lashes. Ever since that day I have been kicking myself for having not bought more. I made another trip this past weekend back to the Dollar Tree and was so happy to find that there were still lashes. I picked up 6 more pairs. For a dollar each this is a no brainer.

While in the makeup aisle I saw a bunch of Value Kit sets from L.A. Colors. Some had blush and some had lipstick. I picked up three of them. I picked up a lipstick set in Diva (Orange) and Lace (Pink). The blush set is called Glisten (Pink and and Orange).

It's a great feeling to know I got all of these goodies for under $10.

Don't you just love deals?

For everyone who isn't familiar with VIB Rouge it is a membership that is given to those beauty addicts that have spent $1000 at Sephora in a calendar year. The membership stays with you for another year if you spend another $1000 the following year. And so on and so forth.

Those that have VIB Rouge Status receive some benefits such as:

A free Bite Lipstick that is only available to VIB Rouge card holders

Free gifts

Coupons, discounts, and deals

I am extremely excited about becoming a VIB Rouge member, not because of the money spenct but because of the rewards available.

Are you a VIB Rouge member? What kind of perks have you received from being a VIB Rouge Member?

Naked 3 - Buzz

Since I first saw the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay I knew I was obsessed.

The pictures of the palette seen online give the palette no justice. The Naked 3 Palette is a work of art with it's beautiful shimmers and blendable mattes. Pure perfection.

There is one color that is my favorite and that is Buzz. It is a beautifully shimmery pink. I used it to create my first look using the Naked 3 Palette.

For this look:

I applied Strange to my brow bone.

Next I applied Limit to my crease.

Then I applied Buzz to my lid.

Finally I applied Darkside to my outer corner and crease.

I love how all of the colors in this palette really do go well together. Any combination will have the same flawless result of perfection.

This has to be my favorite Naked Palette now. Which is yours?

UD Book of Shadows IV

Since Ulta and Urban Decay were selling the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV again recently, I was inspired to dig out my Book of Shadows IV.

I decided to create a look using 4 colors.

Brow Bone - Skimp (Nude Matte)

Inner Corner - Zephyr (White Shimmer)

Lid - Bender (Green Shimmer)

Crease - Gravity (Purple Shimmer)

The Book of Shadows IV is a good neutral palette that has a couple pop colors. It fits in great with my other Book of Shadows Palettes.

Do you have the Book of Shadows IV? If so, have you had it or did you recently purchase it?

20 ebay Palette - Neutral Look

Here is a neutral look that I created using a couple of colors from the 20 ebay Palette.

I used the white (1st row, 1st color) on my browbone.

I applied the cream shimmer (3rd row, 1st color) to my inner corner.

Next I applied the beige shimmer (1st row, 5th color) to the middle of my lid.

Finally I applied the brown shimmer (2nd row, 5th color) to my outer corner and outer crease.

The pigment on these shadows are great. For $10 who can argue?

Yet Another BH Cosmetics 120 Palette, 5th Edition Look with Purples

This is a look that I had done back in October.

It is another look using the 5th Edition 120 Palette from BH Cosmetics. Somehow I missed posting this one.

For this look I used a few purples from the palette, using the lightest color in the inner corner, a medium shade in the middle of my lid, and the darkest shade in the outer corner.

I have really been liking purples lately on my eyes.

Have you tried this palette from BH Cosmetics? Which is your favorite 120 Palette?

BH Cosmetics That's Heart Palette

The second palette that BH Cosmetics recently released is called That's Heart.

This palette is also from a Youtube Beauty Guru, Heart Defensor, known as That's Heart. This palette is a blush and eyeshadow palette. It contains 8 eyeshadows, a blush, a bronzer, and a highlighter. The eyeshadows in this palette are neutrals and colors that pop.

I instantly feel in love with the packaging of this palette. It would have been perfect for Valentine's Day. Nonetheless this is still another palette that I need in my collection. Aw that hard life of a makeup addict and a palette collector.

This palette is also limited edition and is $14.95.

What do you think of this palette? Will you be purchasing this palette?
